In a purpose driven leadership,  Chairman of the International Brothers Movement , IBM, Eze Dr. Chukwudi Boniface Okparaku, has through a well articulated policies, moved the Club steps ahead to international acceptability and increased their  fortunes, after 40 years in existence in Lagos State.

Formerly Known as “Ihitenansa Brothers Movement at inception” 53 years ago,before the name change and it’s transformation to the “International Brothers Movement”, IBM , the Club had gone through torturous road towards the present enviable transformation, where it is today.

Founded shortly after the Nigeria Civil War, tby eight like minded great minds called the G8,who were bound by friendship, brotherhood ,the zeal to succeed and determination to watch over each others back, the visionary movement, despite having faced daunting challenges , surmounted them  all, to become an excellent , exclusive , rejuvenated Club, that is now the cynosure of the society’s rich Supper class .

According to the First Vice National President, Social ,Ichie Adimonyema  Ezereadi Ezeorjika – Ezeukwu Obidigbo , “IBM is anchored on Socialization ,humanitarianism and members Progress”.

Little wonder their social activities are all encapsulated in philanthropic gestures and welfare of members.

This the National Secretary , Social , High Chief Emmanuel Umeh, collaborated, while saluting the courage of the incumbent , innovative and hardworking Lagos Chairman, Social ,Eze Dr. Okparaku, who he praised for taking the Lagos branch to a lofty height .

On the strength , merit and Success recorded by the Lagos branch, since it’s inauguration 40 years ago,especially under Social Okparaku, fondly called “Ezechukwukwadoro Ndigbo”, IBM is poised to have its presence in Abuja, Portharcourt, South Africa and other parts of the Globe.

Remarkably , at the IBM Lagos branch 40th Years Anniversary held last week, at Julicis Hotel and Suites , Ago Palace Way, Lagos State , from Friday to Sunday, December 5th to 7th, it was a show of capacity, candor, strength and financial power, as there was money rain,literally ,Naira fell like torrents , when IBM members were outwitting each other in donations, with Social Okparaku doling out over N1.4 million to wash some members seats .

Earlier, at the three days anniversary retreat carnival, Social Okparaku, in his speech ,had announced the retrieval of their landed property from the Federal Housing Authority and subsequent land filling and fencing of the proposed Multipurpose Club House site,toward building of the N350,000 edifice in 2026.  

Interestingly , the Movement’s tradition recognizes an elevated role of  their wives and women in Social organization and family bond .

Little wonder, the women were treated like queens on Saturday night party fiesta ,as members gifted them with several gifts and cash donations.
