OBA OJOTO VICTORY : Chief Linus Igbudu Led  “Rebel” Camp in Disarray, Resort To Denigrating Senator John Mbata, For Supporting Legality ,Peace Process In Lagos Ohanaeze

It  appears that things are gradually falling apart for the fragile camp of  Chief Linus  Igbudu led Opposition and dissenting Igbo voice in Lagos State , following yesterday’s resounding victory of their elsewhere decamped former “Ofu Obi group leader, ” Chief Leonard  Okafor ,also known as Oba Ojoto.

Reliable Sources close to the said  crumbling rebel camp , revealed that there is a big crack in their wall of unity, as some of their top most members have sent a secret emissary to their  estranged former Leader and Sponsor ,  Oba Ojoto, begging to be carried along in his new administration , while some of their die hards , have resorted to heaping their frustration by denigrating, insulting  and use of  abusive word against the office of the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo World Wide.

According to another reliable inside Source, the Crux of the matter is the inability of Chief Linus Igbudu’s “Ofu Obi” group, to stop the already held election, failure to convince Senator Mbata not to make pronouncement legitimating Chief Solomon Aguene’s  Court Consent Judgement  and dwindling finance after the exit of Oba Ojoto from their frail, cash starved minority camp .

Meanwhile , some of their allies have started instigating and  making favourable  publications congratulating Oba Ojoto .

Our reliable sources revealed that it  is no longer “uhuru ” for the dissenting group , as anger and  Confusion Hit their camp like a tsunami .

Responding to their last publication in an online Newspaper , some Igbo Leaders in Ohanaeze Ndigbo  Lagos ,mocked the alleged frustrated group , advising them to register their “Ofu Obi” group with the Corporate Affairs Commission ,CAC, instead of the fruitless and frivolous High Court case, challenging an already expired Chief Solomon Aguene Court Consent Judgement and Ohanaeze Ndigbo ,where they no longer belong as members.

 Angered over their recklessness and  impudence to Challenge the decision of Senator Mbata and” Imeobi “from Enugu, the Emeritus President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Lagos, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene , lampooned the Chief  Igbudu led Opposition group and queried why they are disobeying and insulting the office of  Senator Mbata, as the President General. 

Educating the said rebels on the constitutional conduct of Ohanaeze  Ndigbo  Election in the states, Aguene , tutored Igbudu led camp that, “Ohanaeze Ndigbo National, or World Wide,  is not constitutionally  empowered to conduct branch elections .

Citing examples with recently held Calabar , Kano, Oyo and many other states  elections , Aguene queried why Lagos branch election must be conducted by Enugu headquarters ?

Cautioning ”  Igbudu , Robert Obasi , Ubochi , Kalu Uguru, Everest , who he listed as rebels, Aguene warned  them of the consequences of disregarding and Insulting Senator  Mbata’s PG Office ,noting that it is bound to backfire .

 He said :  ” in their small mind now,they think that they are insulting Chief Solomon Aguene, whereas they know they are directly challenging the highly respected Ohanaeze Ndigbo  President General , Senator Mbata ,who came to Lagos with the National legal advisor, Secretary  General and  Ohanaeze Grand Patron, Senator Martin Agbasi ,and before over 20 prominent Igbo leaders in Lagos, made pronouncement in my support  and gave directives that I , Chief  Aguene, should complete my Court Consent Judgement, constitute a unification and consolidated Electoral Committee to conduct an acceptable  election before end of my consent Judgement on April 8, 2026, which I have complied with”.

Other notable Igbo Leaders , Stakeholders and Elder Statesmen,  who spoke on the grounds of anonymity , collaborated Chief Aguene , Who they described as  “Aka Ekpushi Onwa Ndigbo” , confirming his statements  that the battle is no longer Aguene’s battle , because Aguene did not make the pronouncement , did not conduct election and has exited from Ohanaeze Ndigbo President  Office, based on his Court Consent Judgement .

According to Jude Onyeabor , Eze Ernest  Anenechukwu , Chief Oha , “it’s an insult to disobey and insult Senator Mbata, because any disregard on his personal and office, is denigrating the Igbo Nation as a whole and will backfire”.

Speaking sarcastically , Chief Aguene questioned how Linus Igbudu ,  an Enugu State Town Union Chairman, will condescend so low in his thinking ,as to downgrade, denigrate the exalted office of Senator  Mbata , subtly  insulting the President General , Legal Adviser and the Secretary General in the social media .

He mocked the group , asking  thus : “why did you not appoint Ubochi as President?.Tell Ndigbo if your new name is “Ofu obi Club or Court Continuity  , because your former master and sponsor of  Ofu obi, Oba Ojoto, now Ohanaeze  Ndigbo President , will not take it easy with you,hence  you people are no longer Ohanaeze but “Ofu obi or  Court  Continuity”.

 He advised them to congratulate Oba Ojoto now or face indictment.”Oba Ojoto will deal with you people”.

” If you behave yourselves and send  congratulations, Oba Ojoto may consider appointing you rebels, as his welfare officers, provost or errand boys.Dont forget  that some of you people like  Everest ,Robert and Ubochi, will definitely  sneak in to make secret peace and lick Oba Ojoto shoes very  soon”, he mocked.

Narrating what he called Blackmail against Igbo Nation , Aguene alleged Chief Everest Ozonweke  of petitioning Governor Babajide Sanwu Olu against Ohanaeze Ndigbo, where he was said to have alleged that, armed thugs will be invading Lagos  during  the just concluded Ohanaeze  Ndigbo election.

As a result of the Black mail and frivolous petition against the  Ndigbo Nation by Ozonweke ,Aguene said he therefore took some Igbo Leaders ,such as Oba Ojoto and Chief Sunday Ossai ,to  visits Governor Sanwo Olu last Sunday night ,over the false allegations of arms Invasion with thugs and coronation of New  Ezeship candidates.

He explained that the Governor had earlier on  Contacted  Chief Joe Igbokwe, who denied knowledge of such developments,before summoning him ,Aguene .

 Explaining further , Aguene said that he presented Chief Sunday Ossai and Oba Ojoto before the Governor ,and revealed  to the  Lagos State Chief Executive , that peace has finally returned to Ndigbo in lagos, and told him that the allegations were frivolous and handiwork of Ozonweke and his camp.

The governor , who was said to have warmly received them in the presence of some security Agencies , afterwards, saw them off outside , after an Executive “handshakes”  .

Aguene’s intervention was said to have greatly earned him more regards and reverence from his entourage,especially Oba Ojoto, thereby necessitating some  stakeholders to decide and vow to silence , excommunicate and deal decisively with Ozonweke, with a view to  compelling  him to account for his alleged blackmailing of Ndigbo and his Anti Igbo activities in lagos.
