20 YEARS ON THE SADDLE : Eze Alex Nwoye Makes A Difference In Diaspora Leadership At 70 Years,Receives Accolades

Eze Alex Sunday Mkpidike Nwoye’s has been judged the best diaspora Igbo Leader in Lagos by Ndigbo as well as none Igbos in Ejigbo environs .

This is even as encomium and accolades have continued to pour in like torrents in commemoration of his 20 years in the saddle, as Onyendu Ndigbo and Eze Ndigbo in Ejigbo LCDA, which started at his 50th birthday ,as well as marking his 70 years birthday ,which comes up on June 13, 2026.

His leadership style is known by his numerous followers as not a flash in the pan, but tested and trusted by Ndigbo in Lagos ,as well as the Yoruba host Community .

As a leader with evidence , he has garnered enormous support and love from Igbo Leaders and residents, for single handedly and selflessly sowing seeds of love, brotherhood and genuine empowerment .

Indeed,for 20 years none stop, Ejigbo Residents in their numbers have testified that Eze Alex Nwoye , is not just a giver but a genuine Philanthropist , who derives immense Joy in impacting on the lives of his people and none Igbos wherever he resided or engages in his trading and hospitality business.

This is exemplified at his Aceland Royal Garden Hotel , where a Yoruba man is his General Manager , while Hausas and other ethnic nationality people are his staff and trusted allies .

For instance ,it has become like his yearly ritual to lavishly host and empower Ejigbo residents, friends , well wishers, host community and his Obi Ndigbo Palace Members during his June 8 birthday date celebration and his annual end of the year Fiesta .

His genuine humility and love of his fellow human beings is unequalled, this has brought great respect and honor to him from even the Oba of Ejigbo , Oba Morufu Ojuola, who decades ago made him one of his Palace Chief and recognized him as a trusted, true Igbo Leader, Onyendu and Eze Ndigbo in Ejigbo .

Without an iota of doubt, Eze Nwoye was duly nominated by Ndigbo in Ejigbo, coronated decades ago as Onyendu Ndigbo and later as Eze Ndigbo , when the cultural institution of Eze Ndigbo had much regards, respects and candour .

Indeed, Eze Nwoye and Onyendu Ndigbo in Ejigbo’s philanthropy is not a second thought ,an imitation of others , neither was he compelled to be giving based on political intention or inclinations , rather it is a natural gift and in born in him, a sort of divine ministry. Regrettably , some Lagos residents bemoan the bastardization of the Eze Ndigbo Institution in diaspora, which they argued has commonized and watered down the respected Cultural Legacy , hence it became an all comers affairs, where allegedly ,unqualified men with questionable background and characters, had invaded and made mockery of the revered traditional and age long Ezeship office.

Speaking during some random interviews conducted by News Planet International in Ejigbo and some parts of Lagos state , Ndigbo who venerated him, appreciated his gentlemanliness, calmness, tolerance , humility in leadership and 20 years peaceful reign ,also affirmed that Eze Nwoye has consciously and unconsciously implanted his foot steps on the sands of time.

Besides his Social – Cultural interactions and success , Eze Nwoye is a respected Catholic, having devoted his time, life and Resources to the Service of God and Mankind .
