Pomp,Pageantry ,As OUIPWF Marks First Anniversary  In Grand Style, Fetes Members

It was Jubilation galore yesterday , June 18,2026, as the dynamic,adorable and glamorous Women Foundation, known as Odimma Umuada Igbo Prestigious Women Foundation , OUIPWF, Celebrated its first anniversary in grand style .

News Planet International reports that to cap the celebration mood  up, drums were rolled out and music blasted ,as the obviously happy Women, danced and sang praises to God for their milestone achievements within a short period of time, marking an amazing one year after their official inauguration June 14th, 2025.

The anniversary , which coincided with the Foundation’s periodic physical meeting , making it a double impact event, was held at their 12 Okota road office complex , near Apple Junction, Amuwo Odofin area , Lagos State.

 Slated for 11 am, the event started with an Opening Prayers and praise worship , before a novel  review and stock taking of their first one year in existence  was conducted , which was  X-rayed by the Founder and President General ,Chief Mrs. Violet Uchenna  Obiora ,fondly called Onaedo by her numerous admirers .

There was musical interlude ,after which new  membership identity cards were given out to upto date deserving old members ,while new members were admitted with welcome songs and warm embraces .

Besides setting it’s Okota location area agog with scintillating music, songs and praises,there was more than enough food to eat and assorted wine, and other drinks ,even as members and guests went home with extra food and drinks .

However, as an organization with discipline as it’s watch word and guide ,the Executive of the Foundation in agreement with the general Assembly, announced the suspension of an erring member,(Names Withheld) , for her anti organizational activities .

Reeling out the young Foundations numerous humanitarian  achievements which gulped several millions ,such as in areas of  poverty alleviation, women empowerment , Widows Support programmes ,Scholarships , Orphanages and Rehabilitation  visitation ,hospital patients  and prison inmates assistants, girl child care , burial condolence assistance and soft loans to members,all under one year , the Founder enjoined the women to show more commitment to the Foundation and it’s lofty programs, aimed at taking women out of the dungeon abject poverty .

Onaedo, took time out to thank good spirited and kind hearted donors , who helped the Foundation in no small measures to achieve their successes through their financial supports .

She also called on the business Community , Captains of Industry and politicians, especially , those of Igbo extraction ,to partner with OUIPWF and donate generously towards women empowerment, to build and facilitate the Igbo Nation Growth,assuring them that their donation counts ,as it will be used  exactly for the purpose it was given.

Mrs. Obiora while appreciating one of their Federal Law Maker partner in Anambra State, who donated some bags of rice and fertilizers to the women foundation, announced the take off of OUIPWF branch in Nnewi, Anambra State, promising to establish such branches in all the Igbo Speaking South East States and beyond.

In appreciation , immediately After Mrs. Onaedo ‘s speech , the women gave her a thunderous standing ovation, composed songs to appreciate her , while showering  praises and encomium on their Founder giving spirit, heart of Gold and philanthropic gestures  . 

Earlier , Chief Mrs Obiora , had while. introducing their Matron,Chief Mrs. Ada  Ofoegbu , commended her role model attributes  as a woman leader, as well as her leadership quality.

Speaking in an interview with Our Correspondent , Mrs. Obiora ,who is respected in the society as an ardent campaigner of Women and Youth empowerment,  noted that the essence of the Foundation are as spelt in their foundation vision and mission statement.

Some of these objectives ,she listed as : Widows and Youth Support ,as well as effective empowerment of women for effective Nation building.
