CULTURAL EXTRAVAGANZA  :  Eze Mkpume’s Post Humous Ofala Turns A fiesta ,As Eze Ndigbo In Diaspora World Wide, Yoruba, Hausa Monarchs Converge To Celebrate Worthy Legacy. Watch Videos Below.

It was planned to be a very solemn memorial celebration, full of somberness, but turned out to be a spectacular fiesta and cultural extravaganza of some sort .

This aptly describes the fanfare, funfair that enveloped  last Ofala of the late Eze Ndigbo of Lagos State, Eze Hyacinth Nwabueze Ohazulike, Omereoha Eze Mkpume 11, held yesterday October 11, 2025.

Guests from different Ethnic backgrounds confirmed that it was beyond Ofala but akin to a celebration of cultural and traditional legacy.

News Planet International reports that the audacious event was a roll call of some sort, about who is who in Igbo socio- Cultural settings.

Indeed, His Highnesses and Custodians of Igbo Culture and Traditions, otherwise known as Ndieze Ndigbo in Diaspora , played significant and prominent roles in the world class Eze Mkpume’s last Ofala, which many guests  attested to the Ezes participation as  indisputable and indelible.

Eminent able and prominent Ndiezes of the Association of Ndieze Ndigbo Nuzoije Association World Wide, who are Eze Ohazuluike’s  living Lieutenants , were visibly on ground to celebrate their Founder and mentor even in death.

Their President General, Eze Gregory Iloerika, Eze Ndigbo of Ondo State, was ably represented by Eze Ikem W. Agbasi, who was sandwiched by numerous but gorgeously dressed Ndiezes such as ,Eze Uche Dimgba, a.k.a. Okpotemba; Chairman Board Of Trustee (BOT) ,Ndieze Udo Nuzoije Title Holders Association and Eze Ndigbo in Ikeja ; President Ndiezeigbo  Nuzoije,South West, Eze John Greg Ezebuadi , Eze Ndigbo in Iba ; Chairman Council of Ndieze in Lagos,Eze Christopher Offia,  Eze Ndigbo Mushin, Eze Peter Umeh, aka, Jaganza; Eze Ndigbo Ejigbo, Eze Alex Nwoye; Eze Ndigbo in  Etiosa ,Eze Gerard Jerico Onuchukwu; Eze Ndigbo in  Abaranje/ Okorube, Eze Chukwudi Boniface Okparaku; Eze Ndigbo Amuwo Odofin, Eze Augustine Sunday Ojukwu; Chairman, Ndieze Ndigbo from Imo State ,Eze Nicholas Njoku of Ejigbo / Agbiaka ; Eze Ndigbo Bucknor, Eze Emenike Okpaga; Eze Tony Anosike of Onigbogbo ; Eze Remi Ayamele ;Eze Ndigbo of Osun State;Eze Ndigbo in Akwute, Eze Innocent Okunamiri; Eze Olikenyi Peter ; Eze Emmanuel Chukwuakalikamadu of Oriade LCDA;Eze Umuokorobia Agbo; Eze Lawrence Eze of Alimosho; Eze Odumodu ; Eze J.J. C. Nwosu ; Eze Ossia Igwe ; Eze Apostle P.C .Uhegbu of  Ikorodu; Eze Christian Uchechukwu Nwachukwu ; Eze Winco represented, and many other Ezes.

Many  guests classed the event as a cultural carnival to behold ,as different Masquerades , Cultural dances, women groups and other forms of entertainments thrilled the dignitaries that cut across ethnic boundaries, including some leaders of the host Community and Hausa Communities.

Yoruba leaders such like Baale of Iludun Town, High Chief Tunde Coker ; MS Olaibigbe Funmi; Igbo Speaking Community leaders, such as Chief Sunday Udeh, Ohanaeze Leaders such as Chief Sunday Ossia, Reverend  Paul Eze; Chief Solomon Aguene and Prince Andy Moore Ezejioha,amongst others were at the event.

Assorted foods ,drinks and gift items were not in short supply, as guests had enough to eat and drink.

Extolling the virtues of the late legend, also known as Omereoha Eze Mpume 11, all the dignitaries that spoke, agreed that the late Eze Ndigbo of Lagos State, lived a life of Service and Charity to humanity. 

However, the last Ofala reached its crescendo , when the Regent removed the traditional regalia ,surrounded by his brothers ,Mkpume’s cabinet Chiefs and placed it on his late father’s Royal Chair.

According to Eze Okpotemba, Eze Mpume was a man of Diverse personality, a gem, an iroko, an unrepentant traditionalist ,a custodian of Igbo Culture and tradition, who projected Igbo rich cultures in Diaspora , outside Igbo land.

 Eze Agbasi, who is also the Chairman of Ndieze Udo Title holders Association in Lagos, described their feelings as painful, because they lost a very generous man in the person Eze Mpume.

For  Eze Peter Umeh ,and Eze JohnGreg Ezebuadi, Eze Nicholas Njoku, Eze Emenike Okpaga, Eze Christopher Offia ,Late Eze Ohazulike  Was a visionary leader, brother, friend, mentor ,an embodiment of Igbo Culture and tradition , a mover of men and great traditionalist.

In his own tribute, Eze Dr .Chukwudi Boniface Okparaku, called Ndigbo to unite, speak with one voice and work towards having an Obi Ndigbo or a place of the talking drum, which he opined  would immortalize Eze Mkpume’s legacy.He extolled his giving spirit ,exceptional talent and vision, calling him a gift to humanity.
