Ndigbo in the South East region and even beyond , have been admonished to embrace and fully support the current Ohanaeze Ndigbo World Wide Leadership ,led by Senator John Mbata.

This Clarion call was made last Friday ,October 24,2025, by the incumbent President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State Chapter , Mayor, Chief Dr. Solomon Ogbonnaya Aguene.

News Planet International reports that Chief Aguene was speaking on the sideline ,at the just concluded  Eze Augustine Sunday Ojukwu, Eze Ndigbo of Amuwo Odofin Cultural New yam festival , held at the prestigious Trade Fair Motel , Lagos.

Chief Aguene , who is also a United Nations , UN, Ambassador of peace , used the opportunity provided by the Media Chat, to sue for peaceful and brotherly love amongst all Ohanaeze Ndigbo Members , irrespective of affiliation ,as well as all Igbo residents in Lagos State.

 This weighty  statement ,according to some stakeholders ,are strong indications that peace is finally on the verge returning  to the hitherto crisis ridden Ohanaeze Ndigbo , Lagos Chapter .

 Extolling the virtues, integrity and what he described as the Unique leadership qualities of Senator Mbata, Chief  Aguene, endorsed his Administrative styles ,noting that the President General has changed the narrative.

He Said : “It is very important and time has come for every Igbo Man and woman world wide,to embrace and endorse our President General, Senator John Mbata ,for his integrity and robust leadership acumen “, Aguene said.

Continued He, ”  In the history of Ohanaeze Ndigbo World Wide, his administration is not at the beck and call of political leadership, the first that does not go about knocking at Governors door, or going cap in hands begging Governors”

 While further praising Senator Mbata, Chief Aguene, also known as “Udochia Ndigbo”, revealed that for the first time,”all the State Chapter Presidents of Ohanaeze Ndigbo , who were recently invited to Awka, Anambra State for New yam festival, were given N200,000 honorarium, feed three times for two days and lodged in a hotel of N60,000 per day”, which he explained was different from what was obtainable in the past, where the state chapters provided for the  National.

He therefore endorsed the courage, charisma, confidence and leadership qualities of Mbata, noting that it takes a man like Senator Mbata, who obeys and respects the rule of law, by categorically standing with the law and Constitution ,by endorsing and declaring him Chief Aguene, by the legal authority of the High Court Consent Judgement  ruled by Justice A.M. Folami ,as the Authentic president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State Chapter.

On how the much expected peace  will emerge in Lagos Chapter, Chief Aguene assured that Ohanaeze will soon be united in Lagos .

The man usually described by his staunch supporters as “,Capacity President”, however regretted the untoward attitude of those he called, “some few bad eggs amongst them”, which he said are being taken care of, noting that he will conduct Elections in April 2026 , to make way for a new administration.

On the rumours that he will be getting a National appointment or position from Ohanaeze Ndigbo World Wide, after his tenure,  Aguene , promised to answer every call for service to the Igbo Nation, hinting that Senator Mbata had whispered such plan aimed at drawing him closer the World Wide Body, by fix a befitting position for him, once his tenure ends.

On the issue of his unusual silence over the bench warrant hanging against the fleeing President General of the Igbo Speaking Community, Chief Sunday Udeh,  Aguene noted that he was not properly briefed by Chief Udeh, saying in a proverb ,”that it is proper for a Son to approach his father when he runs into problems and not the other way round”.
