FACE OF A LIAR : Alleged Impersonator, Chukwuemeka Henry Ugwunta, Who Faked Professorship,Enugu State Community Kingship, Risks 2 Years In Jail

For unlawfully crowning himself, acting and parading as Igwe of Agbaja Umumba Ndi Uno Community, Ezeagu Local Government Area in Enugu State,an alleged serial Impersonator and self acclaimed Professor and  King , “HRM” “Professor” Chukwuemeka Anayo Henry Ugwunta ,Risks imminent two years jail term .

This was deduced from an official letter from the Ministry of Chieftaincy Affairs, Enugu State government ,which was addressed to Agbaja Umumba Ndi Uno Town Development Union , dated 23rd January 2026 and signed for the Commissioner by DD/CM Ozoagu Ogochukwu .

News Planet International reports that the said letter referenced MCM/CM1034/572, was government reaction to a petition earlier filed by Agbaja  Community , signed by the Former President General ,PG, of the Town Union, Engineer Chidiebere Ugwuonye  and  Secretary General , Hon. Hilary Udeh, alleging that the embattled Self Acclaimed King , Ugwunta, is an impersonator and or imposter  , parading himself as “Igwe”, meaning King.

Following the General Assembly meeting held on December 6, 2025, the Town  Union on the weight of some alleged crimes, indefinitely suspended Ugwunta on 22nd of December, 2025, from participating in the ongoing Community’s Kingship contest and subsequently  petitioned  Enugu State government , the Police and the military garrison in the state.

Ugwunta , who is also said to be parading himself as Eze Ndigbo of Iyesi Kingdom, Ogun State ,has for long been facing numerous criticisms , condemnations from Igbo Leaders in Lagos State and Ogun State, over what they called “his too many cloudy and unsubstantiated titles”.

Many of the Eze Ndigbos in diaspora  and some Igbo Leaders , who are now jubilant over Ugwunta present travails, alleged that the embattled Self Acclaimed Igwe and Professor , has in the past, been ” fraudulently” installing diaspora Chiefs and Eze Ndigbo ,even outside the Country .

He was said to have created more enemies for himself, following his Creation of suspicious Whatsapp platforms,proliferation and  crowning of Eze Ndigbo both locally, outside Nigeria and his futile  attempts to meddle into and manipulate the choice of Eze Ndigbo of Lagos thrown ,even when the late Eze Hyacinth Ohazulike’s burial rites were in the process .

” He has been hobnobbing with Eze Ndigbo in Diaspora for sometime now, trying to infiltrate into leadership position but how he was able to hoodwink so many people with this Igwe ship and Professorship titles ,beats my imagination , said a prominent Igbo Leader.

“This was how he left Ogun State and came to issue fake and useless Eze ship Certificate to one Timothy in Oto – Awori  LCDA in Lagos State”, says an Igbo Leader who spoke on the grounds of anonymity .

 Speaking in an interview with News Planet International , Engineer Ugwuonye  , who expressed disappointment over Ugwunta’s alleged criminal activities, revealed that the Self Acclaimed King , ” is not even a Chief in our Community”.

The Emeritus President General ,also revealed their investigations during and after the submission of credentials by the town’s Igwe ship Contestants , shows that “Ugwunta has only a 1989 School Certificate qualification and a September 24th,2022 ASPALM  Honorary doctorate award from a yet to be verified Theological University in the USA, with which he has promoted himself to a Professorship status under two years”.

Ugwuonye , had in his letter to Enugu State government demanded the implementation of the State Bye – law on Traditional Rulers as specified in Cap 151, part 111, section19,20,21,22,23,24, pages 4471 and 4472.

On behalf of the Town Union, Ugwuonye accused Ugwunta of threat to members of the Community and fellow Contestants to the Igwe ship thrown, including the Community ‘s Secretary General.

 He also accused Ugwunta of lack of decorum ,barring of siren with his entourage , thereby  constituting nuisance to the community and the environment .

He further accused Ugwunta of impersonation as His Royal Majesty (HRM) , Igwe ,Professor Chukwuemeka Anayo Ugwunta, the Ezechinyeleugo 1 of Agbaja Umumba Ndi Uno Community / Aniagu Ancient Kingdom, Agbaja Umumba Ndi Uno Community .

The then President General of the Community , therefore accused Ugwunta of fraudulent and criminal activities, which he said has brought ridicule  and embarrassment to their Community.

When “Professor” Ugwunta, who hails from Umuagu kindred, Umulatu village, Agbaja Umumba Ndi Uno Community ,was contacted for his reaction and own side of the story , he told News Planet International that he was in a meeting , promising to get back but never did until the time of going to press.

As it stands now , Ugwunta’s fate hangs on the balance , moreso ,on the body language , Willingness and  determination of the newly elected  President General of the Community ,to continue his criminal  prosecution process .
