Eze Okpoko Marks 54th Birthday In Grand Innovative Style, Shares Expensive Gifts “Door To Door” To His Ijegun Neighbors

In an innovative style of showing love as well as reaching out to Neighbors and residents across 5 streets in Ijegun area of Lagos State, Eze Dr.(Amb) Chika Nwokedi, last Tuesday August 4th 2026, shared expensive gift items worth N20,000 each, total package made up of 150 Wrappers, phone Chargers and customized branded bag to women resident in Ijegun area of Lagos State.News Planet International reports that the “Door To Door ” love outreach which was part of the programs initiated by Eze Nwokedi to celebrate his 54th birthday,started at about 7.30 am in the morning, moving through five Streets and ended at 56 Kudeyibu Street, Ijegun around 10am.Eze Nwokedi , who is the Founder of Ndigbo Buru Otu Association,was captured sharing the gift items house to house, accompanied by his adorable wife, Ugoeze Lolo Tessy Nwokedi, some Igbo Leaders , members of Igbo Speaking Community, Ohanaeze Ndigbo and Ndigbo Buru Otu Association .At each of the houses visited, Eze Nwokedi was warmly received by the women, who in appreciation showered him with tributes and Prayers.The gesture , Our Correspondent witnessed,was not limited to any tribe, as all women of Yoruba,Hausa,Igbo and other ethnic Nationalities ,were beneficiaries.Speaking in an interview after the outreach, Eze Nwokedi, fondly known as Eze Okpoko 1 of Obodo Ukwu in Imo State,who is the Eze Ndigbo in Ijegun -Ijadodo , explained that he decided to reach out to women in and around his neighborhood with tangible and memorable gift items, instead of sharing cooked food and drinks. Nwokedi, Chairman of Council of Ndieze in Lagos and former Governorship Candidate, having contested Imo State Governorship election in1999, noted that Leadership role comes from God, hence he advised Ndigbo to distant themselves from envy and betrayal . In his words: “Ndigbo should Love one another and flee from jealousy ,self interest, pull down syndrome , not forgetting that earthly possession are temporary as death awaits everyone”.According to him, “Today is my birthday Celebration and every 4th of August, I usually share gifts to touch lives, because i made a vow to God that if he blesses me , I will use the resources to impact the lives of people , that is why I shared over 150 wrappers, Phone Chargers and branded bags to women around Ijegun area where i reside.Continued He : “I suffered so much in life, having slept in the shop at Ladipo Market for over seven years, waking up by 4 am in the morning to take my bathe outside and defecating inside the canal”Nwokedi, who is also known as “Agu na achi- Ochi” , said thus : “what iam doing now is inborn in me,having inherited my father’s ofo traditional stool and authority, despite my position in my family as the second but last Child out of 11 Children”.Explaining why August is unique,special and symbolic to him, Eze Okpoko narrated how he became Chairman,Ladipo Market Mushin,at the age of 27 years in August 14.”On August 8, 1992 , i came to Lagos; was born August 4, Opened my first house in Lagos State on August 5 , I wedded August 25 and on August 30, I had my first Police contract for the supply of tyres , battery,oil and gas,and on August 31, I received my first Award from Nigeria Police Force”, he explained.Speaking on the side line , after the sharing,a Yoruba son and Oyo State indigene, Mr. Olajire Olajide, who confirmed that he has worked as Chief Security Officer,CSO to Eze Nwokedi for 15 years, wished him well, noting that Eze Okpoko 1 is a giver and a de- tribalize Nigeria.Mr. Olajide ,who prayed for peaceful Coexistence of all the ethnic Nationalities in Lagos State, called on Yoruba leaders in South West ,to copy Eze Nwokedi’s developmental strides and kindness.Paying his own tribute,Eze Nwokedi’s Palace Onowu ,Chief Emeka Onwukaobi , who prayed God for Divine guidance,confirmed that Eze Okpoko has for years being reaching out to people for years , irrespective of tribes, adding that Nwokedi remains the best , kind hearted Traditional Igbo Leader in Lagos.Describing his husband personality, Pastor Mrs, Amb.Dr. Ugoeze Lolo Tessy Nwokedi, (Adaka ada 1 na Anam), who parades multiple titles,wished Eze Nwokedi long life and prosperity.She thanked God for granting her husband another year to mark his special birthday in a new dimension.Ugoeze,who is also known as Mummy “Fire Grace “, further wished Eze Nwokedi More money, further prayed God to continue to lift Eze Okpoko 1 higher.For his Personal Assistant, Prince Godfrey Isaac, who said he has worked with Eze Okpoko for 20 years, he praised him for being a man that derived joy in giving gifts and touching lives.Prince Isaac advised other Igbo Leaders to emulate Eze Nwokedi’s golden heart, noting that if there are 50 Igbo Leaders of his type, Lagos will be a better place to live.In his own contribution, the Chairman of Eze Nwokedi’s Palace Cabinet Chiefs, Chief Dr. Godwin Anaeme, who wished Eze Nwokedi long life and prosperity, describing him as his God father and king,also praised Nwokedi for his giving spirit, recollecting how he has been impacting the lives of the needy and less privileged in the society.Woman Leader of the Igbo Speaking Community in Ijegun -Ijadodo ,as well as Ikotun -Igando LCDA, Mrs. Oge Amaechi,congratulated Eze Nwokedi and advised other Igbo Leaders to emulate his progressive and kind lifestyle.Also Speaking, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Woman Leader,Mrs. Ngozika Obodozie, said Nwokedi is a kind leader who cherishes helping the widows and the down trodden in the society.Mrs. Obodozie who enjoined all Igbo women in Lagos to work closely with Eze Nwokedi for prosperity,prayed God to grant Nwokedi good health, long life, divine protection, wisdom, understanding and prosperity.
