The dust is yet to settle down over  leadership tussle that engulfed the Factional Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State Chapter led by suspended Chief Sunday Stainless Ossia.

This is despite the public resignation of interest made by the former Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos state, Onowu Everest Ozonweke,where he distanced himself from further interest in contesting or becoming President of the Pan Igbo Socio-Cultural Organization in Lagos state.

Taking Onowu Everest Ozonweke’s resignation of interest to Ohanaeze Ndigbo top position with ‘a pinch of salt’, Some Igbo Leaders in a recent statement , warned the National body of the Socio-Cultural Organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide to be wary of Onowu Ozonweke’s Antics.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with News Planet International, prominent Igbo Chieftain, Chief Thompson Ohia , in Unison with Chief Longinus Ezeji, Chief Emeka Okorie, Chief Sabastine Nwokedi amongst others,  urged the new President General , PG,of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Dr. Emmanuel Iwuanyawu, to avoid unintentionally soiling his hard earned integrity and reputation by distancing himself and his Executive Members ( Excos) from the” unhealthy romance ” with Onowu Everest Ozonweke, who they said has “nothing positive and good to offer the Organization “

Chief Ohia, who insisted that Onowu Ozonweke’s unbridled Ambition to become Ohanaeze Ndigbo President in Lagos , was the beginning of the leadership crisis that engulfed the Organization, counseled Chief Iwuanyawu to go back to drawing board, ” back to the genesis of the entire Ohanaeze Ndigbo Crisis”, if he truly desires a lasting peace in the organization and at large to the Igbo Nation.

He further warned him and his entire Excos against further association with Ozonweke , so as to avoid falling into similar pit which others that hobnobbed with him fell .

Chief Ezeji ,who reiterated an earlier call made by Ohanaeze Ndigbo President ,Lagos state, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene , enjoined Chief Iwuanyawu to emulate late PG, Professor George Obiozor, who after initially falling victim to Ozonweke’s antics, recovered quickly and distanced himself from his unsolicited advice and sycophancy. 

Ezeji, also revealed that most of the Publications and statements attributed to Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene in the past, were actually the handiworks of Onowu Ozonweke, who he allegedly said “would go out and pretend not to be involved,whereas he was the architect and brain behind them “
