STATE POLICE : Group Backs President Tinubu’s Reforms , Calls For Restructuring To Regional Government

A Popular Multi – Cultural Association in Nigeria , known as Igbodum , has commended President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s campaign for security restructuring and Police reforms.

This is coming on the heels of recent passage of the State Police Bill by Federal Law Makers in the Lower Chamber, the House Of Representatives and reported commendation to Nigerian President by United States of America , USA Congress.

Joining forces with Supporters of Tinubu’s restructuring policy, Igbodum also praised President Tinubu and the Minister of Foreign Affairs , Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu for the successful exchange of 136 Inmates under the Nigeria – Ethiopia Prison Transfer Agreement.

Speaking in an interview with News Planet International , the President General of the Association , Prince Chuks Emechebe , noted that successful restructuring of the Country’s Security architecture , return to Regional Autonomy, Police reforms, such as the State Police , will go a long way in tackling and solving the problems of escalating insecurity bedeviling the Country , such as insurgency, banditry , kidnapping , militancy and Herders – Farmers Clashes .

Prince Emechebe ,who assured the President of his Group’s Support come 2027 , further praised Tinubu on his recorded policy trust achievements and his intervention over Xenophobia against Nigerians in South Africa.

Emechebe however ,urged him to work towards getting more supports of the Citizens by stepping up his administrations fight against banditry and Kidnapping by ensuring that all kidnapped children, students , women and men are rescued from the dens and jaws of terrorists operating all over the Country before 2027 general elections .

He reminded President Tinubu that it is the constitutional duties of his Government to protect life and property of citizens, who he opined are paying the taxes being managed by both Administration at the State and Federal Levels of governance .
