In what some notable Igbo Leaders have described as a dream come true, history was made last Saturday , November 15, 2025, as a specialized Igbo Language School was unveiled and launched at Jubril Olabisi Street, Ejigbo, Lagos State.

The School which the Founder, His Excellency , Ambassador , Eze Dr. Nicholas Njoku revealed, has been his long standing vision, aimed at keeping Igbo language alive , especially now that foreign languages are eroding the essence and substance of most indigenous languages .

Ambassador Njoku , further noted that the new school which will have an online learning outreach ,came into existence, to breach the gap and stop the perceived deterioration in projecting Igbo Language , which many said is fast going into extinction .

Eze Njoku, a renowned Philanthropist and grass roots diplomat, shocked the guests when his own daughters participated in the public recitation of numbers and Alphabets in Igbo language.

The fluency of Njoku’s daughters in Igbo Language, received applauses from guests, as accolades also came from many Leaders and Ezes,who commended him for his zeal , resilience and commitment towards uplifting Igbo language and other Igbo cultural heritage cum traditional endowment.

While officially launching the project, Dignitaries and guests from Igbo extraction, commended Eze Njoku over his Igbo Language School initiative.

Some of the Igbo Leaders and Ndieze Ndigbo , who lauded and launched the project initiative are: Chief Chris Ekwilo; Prince Andy Moore Ezejioha; Chief Japhet Ejimadu ; Eze Ndigbo of Mushin, Ijoba , Eze Monday Obi who was ably represented by his Wife, Ugoeze, Lolo Monday Obi;Eze Emmanuel Chukwuakalikamadu of Oriade LCDA; Eze Ojo Central, Eze Tochukwu Anosike ;Eze Valentine Ezeugo;Eze Chukwukadibia; Eze Igboleri; Eze Umuokorobia;Eze Ikorodu , amongst many others

News Planet gathered that the school when completed will be sitting on a three plots of land.

Earlier at Eze Njoku’s palatial Palace, the Igbo Cultural New yam festival was celebrated in grand style, as the Igbo Leader invited and allowed his Hausa and Yoruba guests to participate in the cultural ritual by cutting yam like their Igbo Counterparts , in what was seen as inter cultural interaction.

Gorilla Masquerade and Igbo Cultural dance entertainment were not left out, even as guests had enough to eat and drink.
