Court Order : DSS Arraign Emefiele On Criminal Charges

The former Governor of Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele , has formally been arraigned in court says the Department of State Services,DSS.
DSS action is coming on the heels of an Order by the High Court of the federal capital territory on July 13, 2023.
The latest move to prosecute him is in compliance to the ruling delivered by Justice Hamza Muazu in a fundamental human rights suit instituted against the DSS and others by Emefiele.
The Service had, in 2022, applied for a Court Order to detain him in respect of a criminal investigation.
Recall that Emefiele had obtained a restraining order from an FCT High Court, DSS still arrested him on June, 2023, over alleged fresh criminal investigation .
