Chief Emmanuel Ubah, also known as Otunba Ojoto, has reportedly apologized to the former Ohanaeze Ndigbo President , Chief Solomon Aguene , over his unpalatable utterances in a controversial voice notes circulating in the social media.
Chief Ubah , was also said to have retracted all his earlier abuses , insults, which he rained on Chief Aguene, as well as his threat to drag the former Ohanaeze Ndigbo President to a dreaded shrine in Anambra State .
News Planet International reports that Chief Ubah last week ,recorded some image damaging voice notes against Chief Aguene ,over purported sums of money he claimed to have spent for campaign ,during the last Ohanaeze election, which he lost to Chief Leonard Okafor ,popularly called Oba Ojoto.
Giving an update as regards the said apology by Otunba Ojoto, Chief Aguene confirmed that he has received the tendered apologies, adding that he was willing to accept it, if it truly came from his repented heart and not a camouflage.
Speaking , Chief Aguene said , ” Yes Emmanuel Ubah , has sent some apologies to me ,denying and retracting all those fictitious allegations concerning my collecting some money from him”.
On the issue of alleged suggested sale of Ubah’s building at Oto- Awori, Chief Aguene , narrated how Ubah approached him for a Ten Million Naira loan to enable him settle his local government delegates for the just concluded election, noting that because of Ubah’s no guarantee for repayment of the loan after election,” I suggested that he should dispose his own property to raise the money”.
Maintaining that he never took any money from Ubah or compelled him to give out money to anybody , Chief Aguene , revealed that he only heard “the rumour that Ubah gave out the Sum of N5 million through Chief Anselem Njoku, as appreciation to those that helped campaign for him and delegates”, noting that he did not partake in the fund.
On the issue of Shrine, Chief Aguene said that Chief Emmanuel Ubah, has withdrawn his statement and said that it was frustration that made him talk of Shrine , which he ( Ubah) said was archaic.
According to Aguene,” Ubah has confirmed that besides frustrations, he was manipulated and instigated to tarnish my hard won reputation by Some Ohanaeze Ndigbo Enemies , who are busy regularly moving from Lagos to Enugu by Night bus on frivolous trips, aimed at destabilizing the Organization in Lagos State”, noting that “those enemies are forgetting that the State chapters are symbolically attached to Enugu out of respect as the National body, despite that the National Body at Enugu has no financial contributions or allocation to the State Chapters.
Dishing out his fatherly advice and forgiveness to Ubah, Chief Aguene, noted that as a believer and respecter of the rule of law, he discharged the dictates as specified in the Court Consent Judgement, adding that in collaboration with Ohanaeze Ndigbo General Assembly, he inaugurated an electoral committee on March 29,2026, before the purported High court enrollment Order of March 31, 2026, which was few days before his tenure elapsed ,in obedience to earlier directived by Senator John Mbata , the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo World Wide.
Washing his hands off from the conduct of the election by the Electoral Committee and the body’s activities after inauguration, Chief Aguene noted that he is no longer in charge of everything pertaining to Lagos Ohanaeze Ndigbo , having discharged his duties based on the rule of law on March 29, 2026.
Regretting that Ohanaeze Ndigbo bad eggs and enemies deceived Ubah, he revealed how he had plans to deploy his contact with the Lagos State government to help Chief Ubah, however, Aguene was positive that Ubah have realized his mistakes .
Chief Aguene, who recalled having a case with a Journalist he claimed wrote an undertaking for him at a police department, warned the Journalist who he said is “using the media to make cheap money with which he said he uses to feed his family, as well as hitting Igbo leaders heads together ,and who has continued to boast that Ndigbo will never have unity ,to realize that his days are numbered to face Justice, noting that Ndigbo in Lagos will not achieve Unity through his media propaganda” .
