Eze Emmanuel Chukwuakalikamadu Of Oriade LCDA , His Cabinet, Mourns Victims Of Alakija Building Collapse , Calls for Prayers, Commends Rescue Agencies

Prominent Igbo Traditional Leader and Eze Ndigbo in Oriade LCDA, Lagos State, Eze Chimereze, Eze Emmanuel Chukwu Akalika Madu, has on behalf of his family, Cabinet Chiefs, Ndigbo in Oriade LCDA, expressed profound grief over the June ,25, 2026, tragic building collapse in the Alakija area of Lagos State.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and everyone affected by the disaster.
Sympathizing with the families of the victims , during his prompt condolence visit to the Navy Town Hospital , Satellite Town, on June 26, 2026,Eze Chukwuakalika Madu , on behalf of his family , Obieze Palace Cabinet Chiefs and Ndigbo in Oriade, LCDA, described the incident as a painful tragedy that has thrown many families into mourning and left several others injured and traumatised.
He said the unfortunate collapse serves as a sobering reminder of the need to prioritize safety and strengthen measures aimed at preventing avoidable disasters across the state.

Eze Chimereze , who has been in the fore – front of the campaign for peaceful cohabitation of all ethnic Nationalities in Lagos ,prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of those who died in the incident and wished those receiving medical treatment a speedy and full recovery.
He also urged the bereaved families to remain strong in the face of the irreparable loss, praying that God would grant them the fortitude to bear the painful moment.
Eze Chukwu Akalika Madu ,went further to commend the swift response of emergency responders and relevant government agencies involved in the rescue operations, acknowledging their commitment and sacrifices in searching for survivors and providing relief to victims.
He prayed for God’s protection, wisdom and strength for all personnel who worked tirelessly at the disaster site, while expressing hope that every possible effort would continue to be made to save lives and provide support to affected families.
He reaffirmed Ndigbo in Oriade’s solidarity with the victims and the people of Lagos during this difficult period, while offering prayers for comfort, healing and lasting peace for all those impacted by the tragedy.
In another Condolence message signed by Chief Duru, the Secretary , Obieze Palace cabinet Chiefs, it reads: ” The Eze Ndi Igbo Oriade , Eze Chukwuakalika Madu Emmanuel and the entire cabinet members commensurate with the Chairman of Oriade LCDA ,over the loss of lives recorded on 25th June,2026 building collapse incident in Alakija area of Satellite town. We pray for the peaceful repose of the souls of those who died in this unfortunate disaster”.
Some of the Chiefs on his entourage were : Prince Chuks Celestine Emechebe, President – General of Igbodum , Multi – Cultural Association; Lolo Ugoeze Chukwuakalikamadu ; Chief Chinedu Okafor, Chief Duru and others.
