His Royal Highness,HRH,  Eze V.U. Achilike, Ihieri 11, has assured and reiterated his pre – Ihitte Town Union election pledge, that his Palace would work harmoniously with whoever that emerges victorious in the just concluded  election. 

Speaking in his Palace recently during the presentation of Certificate of Returns to the victorious Executive members by the Chief Barrister Kezie Ogazieche – led Electoral Committee, Ihieri II embraced the new executive  and assured them of maximum support. 

The King emphasized the need to beef-up Ihitte Town Union constitution in order to make it all – embracing and advised  the new Exco to shun any unconstitutional extension of their tenure of office by whatever governmental or non governmental process. 

Eze Achilike extolled the virtues of the immediate past President General ,PG,of Ihitte Mbieri Town Union, Chief Chima Ahanotu and commended him for setting Ihitte on the right economic footing through such enviable projects such as the modern stalls at Nweke market. 

He disclosed that his misunderstanding with the former P – G was nothing personal but based only on principles resulting from their respective individual approach to issues. 

In his landmark address ,the Electoral Committee Chairman, Chief Barrister Kezie Ogazieche shed light on the  challenges encountered by his Committee and how they were able to wriggle out of it. 

Chief Ogazieche frowned at the tendency of some Ihitte people to overheat the political terrain too unnecessarily and expressed the hope that subsequent elections in Ihitte will follow the model democratic template created by his Committee. 

In his own remarks, the newly elected President General, Comrade Austin Egejuru, promised not to let ndi-Ihitte down.

He gave the firm assurance that his government will perform far  beyond expectation . 

Comrade Egejuru extended a hand of fellowship to those contestants who lost the election, pointing out that as far as he is concerned, everyone that participated in the election including all the contestants,the delegates and the entire Ihitte Autonomous Community are  winners in the election – “there was no victor no vanquished”.

The highpoint of the event was the presentation of certificates to the Exco members by the Electoral Committee chairman,Chief  Ogazieche.
