NDINDU SHAM ELECTION : Confusion, Protests, Reigns ,As Chief John – Greg  Ezebuadi ,Again ,Arm twist Ndiezes, Emerge Chairman, Ndindu Ndigbo Nauzoije Council

For the Igbo Traditional Leaders in diaspora,there appears no peace in sight , as confusion , avarice, protest, condemnation trails a controversial and  alleged unpopular kangaroo election held at Aceland Royal Garden Hotel, Ejigbo , Lagos State,on March 27,2026.

 Few days after the alleged Sham elections , bickering and bad blood have continued to flow unhindered.

News Planet International reports that the major bone of contention is over alleged ” Inordinate ambition of an expired ,power and leadership hungry member of Late Eze Hyacinth Ohazulike’s Eze Udo Title holders Association ,identified as Chief John Greg Okey Ezebuadi , who had publicly jettisoned Eze Ndigbo Title in preference to Chiefs title .

He was said to have blind folded, cajoled , arms twisted and outwitted his fellow  Ndindu group last week , and emerged Chairman , Council of Ndindu Na Uzoije in Lagos State ,allegedly through a controversial Sham election ,which Stakeholders have likened to a gestapo kind of operation .

Some of the Protesting members of his Ndindu group ,who bitterly berated Chief Ezebuadi ,alleged that his recent maneuver at Aceland hotel impromptu meeting, where he allegedly manipulated and out smarted few other Igbo Leaders present and made himself an unpopular Ndindu Council Chairman Nauzoije, Lagos State in particular, has been his usual Characteristics and stock in trade.

His critics recalled that Chief Ezebuadi’s first failed attempt  to grasp Igbo traditional leadership power through the back early 2026,was at Eze Chika Nwokedi palace in Ijegun,where he tried blind folding 7 factional Ndieze Councils, initiated an absentia impeachment and  dissolution of Council of Ndieze  Ndigbo led by Eze Chris Offia and immediately  formed his failed but short lived “Central Council of Ndieze”.

Other Critics noted that ” Ezebuadi, having failed in his “coup”, to resurrect his fast sliding grip to Igbo traditional leadership power at Eze Nwokedi’s palace in Ijegun”, he was said to have on March 19 , 2026, called what he tagged World Press Conference in his house at Okoko area, in Lagos, which was poorly attended by just two elderly Ndiezes ,Such as Eze Professor Okunamiri , Eze Ojodu ,few Journalists, bloggers and fake Journalists. In a purported bid to remain relevant ,he announced his unpopular change of nomenclature , from Eze Ndigbo to Onyendu  Ndigbo.

Already, Majority of Ndieze , including Eze Valentine Ezeugo ,Eze Chris Offia amongst others,  have lampooned him , mocked and kicked against his perennial craving and grasping of leadership  power ,as Childish and funny.

Many prominent Igbo leaders and Ezes like : Eze John C.Nwosu , Eze Gburugburu South West ,Eze Anthony Anosike , Eze Chris Offia, Eze Valentine Ezeugo , Igwe Fredrick  Nwajaga , Eze Alex Sunday Nwoye,Eze Nicholas Njoku, Eze Emmanuel Chukwuakalika Madu, just to mention but a few ,have expressed misgiving and grievances over Ezebuadi’s antecedents in his divide and rule, as well as using few gullible others to grasp power at the detriment of peaceful and harmonious Traditional leadership in diaspora.

For instance, Eze Nwosu questioned Chief Ezebuadi’s claims to have made and installed Late Eze Ndigbo of Lagos , Eze Hyacinth Ohazuruike in 1998, pushing many other Ezes to asked what he has achieved for the Igbo Nation in diaspora,in those donkey years, other than his stomach infrastructure?.

According to Eze Tochukwu Anosike ,John Greg Ezebuadi , had openly acknowledged generating the controversy over reducing Ndieze to mere Chief, following the dispatch of his unilateral 2025 letter to South East Council Of Traditional Rulers, where he accepted that his Ndieze Udo members, were no longer Eze’s but now Chiefs .

To ensure that he still holds his grips on diaspora leadership ,as well as to continue being relevant amongst the Eze’s , he organized several failed , unpopular and poorly attended Ndieze regularization meeting with Chadon and some Royal fathers from South East in ikoyi.

In one of such ago chasing meetings, his critics said that it took the resilience and doggedness of someone like Chief Solomon Aguene and Chief Sunday Ossai’s , both unified Presidents of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Lagos State  , to rubbish and detour  Chief Ezebuadi’s unending leadership empire chase, through a circulated video in various platforms, which instantly stopped invited Ndieze’s from connecting  themselves with the crafty event .

One of the Out Spoken Ezes, Eze Dr. Nwosu , noted that Chief Ezebuadi  knowing that he has shot himself on the legs, Culturally finished and totally skimmed himself out of Ezeship leadership equation, ,as far as Eze Ndigbo in Diaspora is concerned”,  he was alleged to have  quickly deployed his usual “Niccolo  machiavelli’s , The Prince theory “, and was said to have tactically compelled an honourable Igbo Leader in Oyo State,  High Chief Alloy Obi to visit Lagos and witness his 20 men sham election , which he held on March 20, 2026,at Aceland Royal Garden hotel , Ejigbo, just to  craftly  stamp himself as Chairman of his latest fancy, the  Council of Ndindu Ndigbo  Nauzoije.

At that chaotic event, the few Eze’s now Onyendu ,who were present ,literally engaged themselves in fist cuff combat and  were at dagger drawn, holding each other on the joggler , over perceived manipulation in the alleged  sham but kangaroo elections.

It was at that said sham election that Eze Nicholas Njoku ,fiercely insisted that nominations into the various offices were inconclusive, because of lack of quorum , but Ezebuadi insisted he emerged and elected as the Council Chairman.

 Angry over what he described as Kitchen cabinet Coup, Eze  Emmanuel Chukwuakalika Madu, Said that “besides lacking credibility and not having quorum, the election cannot stand. “Out of over 350 Ndieze’s in Lagos and 7 factional Ndieze Councils , how can just 20 men conduct election and assign to themselves leadership offices. Ezebuadi with his power hungry cohorts and mafia’s, should just respect themselves  and go and rest, they have spent over two decades in this unproductive leadership ventures, without any positive things to show for Ndieze and the Igbo Nation.All these shenanigans is just for their selfish interest to garner 2027 election windfalls “.

Besides it’s unpopularity , the purported sham election appears to have spite and created rounds of rivalry between the highly respected, over 20 years old crowned Eze Alex  Sunday Nwoye and Eze Nicholas Njoku, who was allegedly compensated and had his mouth gaged with the office of Vice Chairman Council of Ndindu Ndigbo in Lagos and with appointment as Onyendu Ndigbo Na Ejigbo, despite that the sham election was held in Eze Nwoye’s hotel, where Ezebuadi escaped the venue without paying for agreed Journalists Coverage fees, as well as for the hotel’s  hall, drinks and water, amounting over N280,000, until Eze Tony Anosike, braced up and settled part of the bills. 

Some of the Eze’s had in the past accused Chief Ezebuadi of  manipulation, over zealousness, Misappropriation ,hijacking of the finances of their group,allegedly being the sole active bank signatory,  because  treasurer , Financial Secretary , such as Eze Peter Umeh,Eze Tony Anosike, are mere figure heads, who only appends signature to alleged usual bogus  expenses Ezebuadi incurs .

Despite his regular boasting and lies of bankrolling and sponsorship of Ndieze events , Ezebuadi is said to be the only bank Signatory that receives bank transactions alerts indicating income and expenditures , as he had in the past rebuffed, played games with taking the treasurer and financial Secretary to bank, so as to effect the requested changes.

He has carved out a niche for himself as  a serial habitual debtor to numerous media house and Journalists, who he invites to his boring programmes , as he will suddenly  disappear after his events or lie to Journalists that his bank account transfer phone is in his bed room ,to enable him evade payment of agreed coverage fees.

Ezebuadi is also  accused of hijacking Welfare office, which enabled him to cart away left over Ndieze foods,which he  personally buys from an Alaba female Caterer , bottled water and drinks in his old long Sequoia jeep, which some stakeholders  jest at him ,saying that his jeep is fast becoming Ndieze’s mobile food store and kitchen.
