It was glitz , glamour and paparazzi ,as Popular but Exclusive Excellence Club, “The International Brothers Movement,IBM”, Lagos branch , last Saturday, December 6th, 2025, marked its 40 years anniversary in grand style.
News Planet International, reports that the Movement , which was formed about 53 years ago as a National Club at Ihitenansa, ORSU LGA, began it’s Lagos operation 40 years past.

Observers and Admirers of IBM , are of the Opinion that In the last four decades of its inauguration in Lagos state , the Club has made bold statement and rendered an impressive Service to humanity , through Selfless service .
Therefore ,in appreciation and recognition of the laudable contributions by its 70 man membership strength ,towards achieving these great milestones , IBM hosted a three days recreational retreat ,at the prestigious Julicis Hotel and Suites , Ago Palace , Okota, Lagos State , where it’s members were treated to a bountiful fiesta and carnival.
Praising IBM success story to high heavens, members attributed the appreciative height the Club attained, to the directional and purpose driven leadership led by their adorable Chairman, Social Chukwudi Boniface Okparaku, popularly known as ” Ezechukwukwadoro” ,“Amuruonyenaego” and his able Executives Officers,

The three days end of the year bash,which was anchored and Packaged by the Clubs “All Purpose Committee”, led by its Chairman, Social Uchenna Ugah , aka “Ozoebubechukwu”, stated few hours behind schedule, due to the sudden demise of one of their Members.However , it later turned into a fiesta of some sort.

Speaking , IBM Chairman, who announced that IBM, whose mission is to raise members and foster unity among men, hinted that IBM has gone international ,adding that their 40 years anniversary is a testament of their collective commitment and passion, since after the Nigeria Civil War, when the Club was formed by the G8 group.
Pouring encomium on IBM, Eze Okparaku, appreciated his 70 Members members contributions to the progress of the Club, especially his immediate predecessor administration .

He also commended what he called ” The traditions of the Club, thanking his Executive for their steadfastness.
Dr. Okparaku, who is fondly called “Amuruonyenaego “, revealed his Administrations ongoing plans of building a N350 Million ultra modern Club House edifice in FESTAC Extension , Lagos ; Starting a Zonal Senatorial Football Sports Competition and empowerment of the less privileged people .

On his successful steering of IBM in lagos, he opined that Leadership is in- built ,adding that inspiration comes from God, however, he advocated for some form of training for leaders.
In his own contribution, the First Vice National President, Ichie Adimonyema Ezereadi Ezeorjika – Ezeukwu Obidigbo , who joined IBM in 1992, noted that the end of the year party has been their annual ritual, adding that this years event was special because of the 40 years anniversary .
According to him ,IBM which he flaunts to be an International Organization ,signifiers socialization , progress, humanitarianism and empowerment of the needy and less privileged .
The National Secretary , High Chief Emmanuel Umeh, commended the current leadership of IBM Lagos, led by Eze Dr. Chukwudi Boniface Okparaku, and urged them to continue flying the IBM flag higher ,despite dating challenges .

Chief Umeh hinted that after the formation of Ihitenansa Brothers Movement, now known as International Brothers Movement , IBM, by the eight like minded friends and brothers from Ihitenansa, nicknamed the G8 ,the Club has expanded to Benin, Edo State, Onitsha in Anambra State and Lagos , with Portharcourt ,Abuja, South Africa and other parts of the world in view.

Earlier, after observing a minutes silence in honor of the souls of their departed member, a post Humous award were given out in honor of the dead.
Proceeding , the Club conducted the official induction of Mr. Sunday Okolie, CEO Gods Power International Electrical Company Ltd, which was followed immediately by investiture of some long Serving Members as Patrons and Grand Patron.

Subsequently , it was Money rain ,as their Chairman led some other members in their traditional seat cleaning support, to donate several millions of Naira into the coffers of the Club.
Guests and members had enough to eat and drink ,as assorted drinks, different local and international cuisines and food menu were served.

The day two party fiesta ended about 2pm,after dancing and celebration of members wives .
