FCID Detectives Grill Dr. Jonathan Nnaji, As Igbo Speaking Community Elders Forum ,Beg For Alternative Dispute Resolution,ADR

Senior and tested police detectives attached to the Force Criminal Investigation Department,FCID Annex, Alagbon, ikoyi ,Lagos State, on Tuesday ,June 30,2026, exhibited their professional powress, as they drilled the embattled Board of Trustees, BOT Chairman, Dr.Jonathan Nnaji , over allegations of impropriety leveled against him by the Council of Ndieze , President General,PG and the Members of the Organization .

News Planet International reports that in a petition filed by the Igbo Speaking Community Council of Ndieze and others,dated March 18, 2026 and received May 11,2026, at FCID Annex Alagbon, Dr. Nnaji ,was accused of Impersonating the President General of the Igbo Speaking Community.
He was also alleged to have fraudulently collected Ndieze’s file money with his personal bank account as well as Provoking breach of peace through his offensive publication.
Nnaji, was further said to have fraudulently made payment of the groups registration money into his private bank account.

Just as he was accused of Stealing and or Conversion to personal use , two buses, donated to the Group,by former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s Ex – Minister, Chief Ogunlewe , then property of Igbo Speaking Community.
A reliable Source close to the Police department, revealed that Dr. Nnaji ,who was said to have earlier denied all the allegations in the Council of Ndieze’s petition , crumbled under the intense interrogation expertise deployed by an Assistant Commissioner of Police,ACP and Deputy Commissioner of Police,DCP ( Names withheld), and accepted receiving some Community’s funds, worth 350,000 in his private bank account.
Funds which the Council of Ndiezes said ought to have been paid into Igbo Speaking Community account.
Moving forward ,the Police panel was also told how a competent Court of jurisdiction in Lagos State,had years ago , banned Nnaji from having anything to do with the leadership of the Community, thereby paving way for Chief Chris Ekwilo , who completed Nnaji’s remaining two years , after Nnaji was sacked as the then PG.
Expressing his Eyes grievances, Chairman, Council of Ndieze, Eze Dr. Amb. Chika Nwokedi, Eze Okpoko,while giving a graphic account of Nnaji’s alleged crimes and illegality,informed the police that his interest was selfless as well as to fight, restore and redeem Igbo dwindling image, damaged by Nnaji’s actions, before other ethnic Nationalities.
Eze Okpoko , whose allegations against Nnaji was collaborated by Chief Udeh, also opined that Nnaji’s BOT Chairmanship was illegal and self acclaimed, adding that out of 13 Pioneer members, 10 were dead, two incapacitated by age and retirement, which he said that Nnaji capitalized to Usurp and unlawfully run the BOT for decades.
Defending himself , Nnaji under intense interrogatory heat, insinuated that Chief Udeh was an ex – Convict over his recent court detention, a statement,which he was immediately cautioned by Police Operatives.
Nnaji also claiming that his BOT Chairmanship actions were right and product of circumstances.
He informed the Police Operatives how he recently queried Chief Udeh over issuance of Obi Ndigbo certificate , which he said is alien to their constitution.
In the Course of further probe by the detectives, Prince Andy Moore Ezejioha , a member of Igbo Speaking Community Elders Forum, representing the Chairman, Eze John Nwosu ,appealed to the investigation panel led by a DCP, to allow Alternative Dispute Resolution, ADR, so that their forum will wade into the matter with a view of settling the dispute amicably.
He was seconded by the Community’s President General, Chief Sunday Udeh, who noted that some Stakeholders had approached him, asking for peaceful resolution.
Chief Udeh had earlier before the investigating panel,accused Dr .Nnaji of intentionally fighting his administration because of his insistence to implement the constitution of the Community, adding that the Constitution provides for the PG ,as the Board of Trustees Chairman , which he alleged , that Nnaji have been occupying unlawfully for decades without accountability.
The police therefore asked Prince Ezejioha to apply for ADR and gave their conditions .
FCID, also directed that their report of dispute resolution and parties to the case ,must report in a months time, being July 30, 2026.
Dr. Nnaji was granted administrative bail pending July 30, 2026,when the report of the ADR will be submitted to the Police.
Handful of other members from both sides, leaders and the Community lawyers were on ground at FCID.
