Disturbed and uncomfortable  with the ongoing media battle in the public space, between the Igbo Speaking Community , Board  of Trustees (BOT) Chairman,Dr. Jonathan  Nnaji, His Media Aides , on one hand and Eze Dr. Chika Nwokedi and Chief Solomon Aguene on the other side, the President General , Chief Dr. Sunday Udeh, has intervened , calling for a truce to allow peace to reign.

Deploying his constitutional Executive powers as President, , Chief Dr. Udeh, therefore nullified all the unilateral decisions and counter statements from the different camps , sacking and disowning each other, such as  Dr. Nnaji disowning Eze Nwokedi and his Council of Ndieze and vice versa, noting that it is only the Central  Executive Committee of the Association, that has such powers and the decisions rest on them.

“It is only the Central Executive Committee that has the right to suspend, sack, appoint , discipline and withdraw any certificate so issued in error or to any beneficiary that is abusing or using same contrary to our constitutional provisions”, he declared  .

On the rumours that his powers has been eroded by other arms of the Association, Chief Udeh was emphatic that the Igbo Speaking Community Executives wields the authority  and as such, are the custodian of administrative powers to implement the constitution .

Taking his own stand over on going media war, he stated that his Executive did not at anytime discuss or approve the disowning or sacking of any  Stakeholder ,be it Council of Ndieze, BOT Chairman or Eze Nwokedi.

Emphasizing that their Association is fully  registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, Chief Udeh , also cautioned stakeholders to avoid any situation or statements  that will portray the Community in bad light ,as well as publications that  makes it look like “jankara “market Association, where anything goes .

Urging them to appreciate ,take a cue and emulate Chief Sunday Eze ,who was his former Contestant to the PG office, Chief Udeh,  poured encomium on him for  his bravery and statesmanship in ending the then crisis ,by sacrificing as well as  jettisoning his Personal ambition of becoming the President General ,in preference for an enduring Peace in Igbo Speaking Community today.

Stating categorically and unequivocally , Chief Udeh , stated clearly that his Office as the President and his Executive members are the custodians of the Community and are empowered by their constitution to function as such.

He noted that their Community which is registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission , CAC, has separation of powers in their constitution, providing as well as spelling out the various  functions of the President General,BOT Chairman, Secretary and Provost ,etc, therefore, ” people can not wake up and declare anything that they like, as if they are in Jankara market “.

Listing the various administrative components and sections that make up the community, the President General therefore warned all the arms to stick to their function as enshrined in the Association’s Constitution ,to avoid conflict.

Praising Chief Aguene for his immense contributions to Igbo Speaking Community , he confirmed that Chief Aguene is a respected stakeholder, having been elected for six years as Vice President , Ebonyi State, with official letter from former President General, Eze Ebere Ubani during his era.

As a major stakeholder, he said ,”Chief Aguene cannot be taken out of equation in Igbo Speaking community, that was why he was officially invited as a guest during inauguration of Chief Sunday Eze by Nnaji and Ubani.Besides that , he was instrumental to ensuring peace during crisis in the community”.

He appealed to Chief Aguene , to cease further publications tackling any other stakeholder or member, without the approval of the Executive of the Community .

Declaring that Enough is Enough, he called for immediate cessation from further publications by all the parties concerned.

According to him, the community has the capacity to settle any rift internally without washing their dirty linen in public.

He called on all members and stakeholders to accord more time to his executive, which he said ,was recently inaugurated about September 2025.

“This show of understanding and patience by members, will enable us  as to fully settle down and become more functional by reorganizing , igniting all the arm of the Association, such as Ndieze, women wing , youth wing etc”, he concluded  .
