OBI NDIGBO LAGOS  : Peace Returns, As Obodoukwu Community Settles Brothers Rift, Exonerates Eze Chika Nwokedi Over Chief Chibuike Azubuike’s  Arrest Ordeal

Peace has finally been restored between Eze Dr. Chika Nwokedi,Eze Ndigbo of Ijegun / Ijadodo and his Village brother , Chief Chibuike Azubuike, the Obi Ndigbo Lagos ,all from Obodoukwu Community in Imo State.

 It would be recalled that there was a rift between the two brothers,following Azubuike’s unsubstantiated allegations bordering on  Eze Nwokedi’s complicity in his arrest and ongoing Prosecution by the Lagos State Government .

 Chief Azubuike had accused Eze Nwokedi ,  his Council of Ndieze ,Eze Sunday Ojukwu and others, of being behind the petition that led to his arrest and prosecution by the state government ,over his attempt to launch a N1.5 billion prototype of his Obi Ndigbo Lagos Igbo Centre ,at Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos.

Following the heat and tension generated in the Social Media by Azubuike’s allegations and subsequent  ultimatum by Eze Nwokedi, compelling  him to withdraw his accusations and apologize, their Obodoukwu Community decided to intervene with a view to settling the misunderstanding.

News Planet International reports that a Five – Man high profile  NOC Lagos branch Ad- Hoc Committee on Resolution of Disputes was therefore set up to resolve the matter.

The Peace Committee led by Chief Vitus Uzoh, alias  (Nwatakwocha) as Chairman , had four others as members , including Chief Obi Ogbuagu;Chief Gab Agwa;Chairman of Umunwarahu Village, where Chibuike Azubuike Egu come from and Chairman of Umuagbadagwo Village, where Chika Nwokedi come from.

It was gathered that the  Committee met today in Lagos with the parties in attendance, and, the matter was amicably resolved.

According to the Chairman ,”It ended peacefully and in praise. To God be the Glory”.

Reliable Sources to the Community , noted that after a careful and sincere deliberations, the Committee  exonerated Eze Nwokedi and his Council Of Ndieze of all allegations bordering on set up and incitement of the Oba against  Engineer Chibuike Azubuike,over the Obi of Lagos Saga.

Clearing Eze Nwokedi, the Committee members consulted witnesses and were briefed that Nwokedi and his Council had no hands in Azubuike’s ordeal with the government and  never organized any press conference regarding the Obi Ndigbo Lagos  Saga.

To consolidate Nwokedi’s innocence , the Committee further learnt that there are over seven Councils of Ndieze in Lagos ,of which individual Ezes can belong to as many as they choose, hence the presence of Eze Ojukwu at a different Media briefing ,was not indicative that Eze Nwokedi’s Council of Ndieze were involved ,despite the fact that Eze Ojukwu is the financial Secretary of Nwokedi’s Ndieze Council.

At the end of the peaceful resolution,  Eze Nwokedi and Chief Azubuike expressed their thanks to the Chairman and his committee , they later shook hands and embraced each other warmly, as a  show of peace and renewed brotherhood.
