It was Naira rain yesterday , December 16,2025, as some notable Igbo women of Substance ,paid a royal homage to a popular Igbo Leader and Eze Ndigbo in Diaspora , Eze Monday Lawrence Obijiogu, Eze Ndigbo of Mushin and Odiolowo, Lagos State .
The women group , working under the auspices of Odimma Umuada Igbo Prestigious Women Foundation, (OUIPWF), an affiliate of Unique Diamond Women Foundation,said they visited Eze Monday Lawrence Obijiogu, as part of the events rounding up their 2025 activities .
According to the President General and Founder of the Foundation, Chief Mrs. Obiora Violet Uche Onaedo, the courtesy visit is in tandem with Igbo Cultural heritage of according respect and periodic visits to a King.
They were warmly received in front of the Palace , by Eze Monday Obijiogu and his wife ,Ugoeze, Lolo Lizzy Yemisi Obijiogu, who later joined the women group and danced to the rhythm of the praise songs the women composed in honor of his philanthropic gestures to their foundation.
Receiving the women in his Palace, Eze Monday Obijiogu , also known as “Ezediohamma 1 and Osisioma na echendo 1” of Mgbidi, appreciated the women on their determined efforts to better the lots of other women in the Society.
The Igbo Leader , fondly called Ijoba and Baba Oja of Ladipo International Market, ,expressed his appreciation to the Foundation,over the good will visit and urged the women to continue to do good for the common interest of the society.
While dishing out his Royal Blessings in appreciation of the impromptu visit, Eze Monday Obijiogu, prayed for the women , counseled them and doled out bundles of crispy Naira notes with bags of 5 Kg rice ,to celebrate the Yuletide season for the women .
In response, the elated Women , who had earlier presented traditional Kola nuts and basket of fruits, symbolizing love ,to Eze Monday Obijiogu, thanked him for his kind heartedness, love, humanitarian gestures and assistance to women and the society at larger.
