 It was a grand end of the year party yesterday,December 4,2025, at the Obi Ndigbo, Igbo Community Centre, ,3 Aceland Avenue,Ejigbo, Lagos state .

News Planet International reports that it was indeed an evening of unhindered fun and Night to remember, as Duru Ochiriozuo Na Uga, Onyendu Alex Sunday Mkpidike Nwoye, ASM, the Oldest Igbo leader in Ejigbo land and the  Chairman , Chief Executive Officer/CEO of one of the fast growing hospitality Centers in Ejigbo Local Government Area,Lagos State, Aceland Royal Garden Hotel, fulfilled his yearly end of the feast obligation, in honor of his Obi Ndigbo Palace and Igbo residents in Ejigbo kingdom .

Unexpectedly and previously unannounced ,there was a surprise empowerment and gifts galore to Palace members , Igbo Speaking Community , Ohanaeze Ndigbo and Uga residents in Ejigbo .

As the over 60 lucky beneficiaries at the event, went home with expensive wonder stove, 5 and 10 kgs bags of rice respectively and a minimal of N5000 cash gifts.

This is even as appreciation speeches from beneficiaries flowed like torrents.They thanked God for sustaining their leader, who for 19 years, has led them with a golden heart, in truth and dignity .

 It was food “bonanza” ,as assorted foods, famous Aceland special Palm wine from far away Anambra State ,were not in short supplies, even as guests,residents, had different food menu of wonderfully made cuisines and assorted drinks of their choice.

Indeed , it was a sight to behold and night to remember ,as men and women of caliber from diverse backgrounds, such as the  Chief Medical Director, Optimal Specialist Hospital Ltd, Surulere, Lagos State, “Omeziri Ndigbo Nkembu “,Chief Dr.Celestine Chukwunenye; His Wife, Dr. Mrs. Chukwunenye; Ichie Anselm Njoku; Chief Obi Okonkwo; Bishop Elect, Umeora Emmanuel Obioma;Chief Sir Iwu Odinaka , Onowu Ejigbo; Chief Sir J.C. Ndudim; Engineer Chuks Odimegwu; Chief Ike Agina and Mazi Charles Echemazi, amongst other, graced the occasion  .

Other notable guests , Onyendu Ndigbo and Onyeisi Ndigbo present are:  Agbasi Ikem , Emenike Okpaga; JJC Nwosu and host of others.

Guests were freely whining, dining and wrinkling their bodies to some old Igbo  tunes dished out by an experienced Disc Jockey,DJ.

At the peak of the enjoyment galore, Onyendu  ASM, fondly called Bobaselu of Ejigbo Land  sandwiched by his lovely, adorable wife, Ugoeze, Lolo Jacinta  Nwoye, and all his Guests, made a toast with a glass of expensive wine.

Speaking, Onyendu Nwoye, thanked all his guests.He gave God the glory for guiding and protecting him throughout his foremost Igbo leadership in Ejigbo in  the last 19 years.

He advised Igbo Leaders in diaspora to stick to the directives of the South East Council of traditional Rulers, as it affected  the name change from Eze Ndigbo to Onyendu Ndigbo or Onyeisi Ndigbo, noting that Eze Ndigbo Title in diaspora , have been abused by people,adding  that ,”  it’s just a name change that does not affect the office status”.

 In admiration of her husband , Lolo Onyendu, Ugoeze Jacinta Nwoye , thanked God for sustaining her husband in that last 19 years of his Igbo Leadership .

She urged women under her watch ,to imbibe the culture of patience and to live in harmony with their host Community  .

Earlier in his speech, the Chairman of the occasion, Chief Dr. Celestine Ugochukwu  Chukwunenye , said he was happy to be part of the epoch making end of the year party. 

He prayed and wished for all the guests well as the New Year 2026 approaches.

While Congratulating Onyendu Nwoye , on his 19 years Igbo leadership in Ejigbo,he however , advised Igbo residents to always maintain their peaceful nature and to live in harmony with the host Community. 

Contributing , Ichie High Chief Anselem Njoku, Congratulated Onyendu Nwoye on his 19 years of peaceful reign in Ejigbo.He  praised him  as “a Man of impeccable character’ .

Ichie Njoku, lambasted those Igbo Leaders ,who are still bearing the banned title of , Eze, His Royal Highness and Majesty , stating that it was sacrilege to bear such names in diaspora .

Over joyed by the gift gestures and kind heartedness of Onyendu ASM ,Ejigbo Igbo residents ,in Appreciation Speeches prayed and thanked their leader and his Wife.

 One of the recipients ,who was the Master of Ceremony , Comrade Chima Nwafor, said thus : “Let’s start with our boss. Your leadership is not just about Eze ship,  it’s about creating a vision that inspires us all. You have cultivated an environment where each of us feels empowered to voice our ideas and take initiative. Your open-door policy fosters a culture of trust and transparency that encourages us to share our thoughts without hesitation”.

Another beneficiary said also, “You lead with integrity, showing us that success is not just measured by numbers, but by the way we treat each other and the values we uphold. Your ability to navigate challenges with grace and determination sets an example for us all. You don’t shy away from tough decisions; instead, you face them head-on and guide us through them with clarity and purpose”.
