Unique Diamond Women Association ,In Conjunction With OUIPWF, Goes On Medical Outreach At LUTH , Fetes Widows, Orphans, Less Privileged, Towards Yuletide

In what has been described as an annual Motherly show of love and compassion to the down trodden and wretched of the Society,  a humanitarian and non-governmental organization (NGO), Unique Diamond Women Association ,has concluded plans to conduct a Medical Outreach.

 The Outreach is expected to avail them the Opportunity to gift Widows, Orphans,Less Privileged citizens at Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi – Araba,Lagos State ,as part of its activities towards celebrating Christmas.

Always Craving for double impact humanitarianism , Unique Diamond Women Association, is collaborating with another Sister Foundation , Odinma Umuada Igbo Progressive Foundation , (OUIPWF) ,to unleash their heartfelt love this yuletide period.

According to the schedule ,the  NGOs will be received by LUTH Chief Medical Director, CMD,Professor W. Adeyemo,by 9 am on Tuesday ,December 16, 2025.

The Organizations believes that the visit would be a time to felicitate with the less privileged members of the society and leave them with some joy, especially at the prevailing economic turmoil the Country is facing .

At the Outreach , Widows , Orphans and the Needy at LUTH, are expected to benefit from the Foundation’s kindness, With a view to providing some succour for them in this festive period.

According to them , the event will be a  total show of Christmas love to Children and families, payment of hospital bills for some patients struggling to pay,  presentation of gifts, relief materials and good will messages.

Founded by Chief Mrs. Obiora Violet Uche Onaedo , the Foundations since inception Many years Ago,  have continued to cater to the needs of Women, the less privileged particularly Widows , Girl Child and Orphans. 

The two Foundations ,have also been involved in rehabilitating of Prison Inmates , drug addicts ,vulnerable , down trodden citizens and help them reintegrate back successfully into the society without stigmatization.

The Foundation’s mission is rooted in compassion and transformation and in the light of this, it remains committed to restoring dignity, rebuilding of lives and giving second chance to individuals often forgotten or neglected by society.

Remarkably, no fewer than 30,000  Women,  Prison Inmates , drug addicts ,Needy  and Less Privileged ,have so far been impacted through the Foundation’s rehabilitation programmes, while over 2000 Widows and Orphans empowered by them, have become small scale business owners. 

Over the years, the Foundation has visited no fewer than 30 locations , Centers across Nigeria.

Towards achieving more successes in line with its mission, the Foundation has called for support to enable it “mitigate recidivism or re-offending” particularly in cultism ,drug abuse , Girl Child Abuse, domestic violence , Child Labour, Prostitution and Trafficking ,which are major defects in the society.

In a document made available to  News Planet International ,,  it is revealing that the needs of Widows, Orphans and down trodden  in the Country, have continued to increase in the areas of feeding, hygienic environment, medical care, emotional support and many others.

According to the document, the Foundation needs  support from members of the public to enable it provide essential supplies such as food items, toiletries, clothing and medical items.  

Other areas of support include expansion of drug rehabilitation facilities and skill acquisition programme for ex-offenders, provision of start up resources for re-integration, empowerment of  Women, youths through mentorship, seminars and vocational training.

The Foundation also wants support for widows and vulnerable families with relief materials and empowerment initiatives.

Currently, the two Organizations  have over 2000 registered members who are actively involved in the activities of the Foundation and they meet physically regularly and via many Social Media handles, providing mentoring counseling and value based teaching to a global audience.
