Delta State Police Command Nab Most Wanted Serial Killer , Recover Arms

The Delta State Police Command has arrested a 39 years old suspect , Charles Debi- Abate, declared as the most wanted serial killer and leader of a cult group in Oghara.

According to the police,the suspect is a member of Aro Bagger confraternity, a native of Oghara, but resident in mosagar 

He was arrested over his involvement in the recent murder that he committed.

Delta State Police Publlic Relations Officer PPRO DSP Bright Edafe, who gave insight on how he was apprehended, Said,”following the reported case of murder of one Destiny Idi, 27, of Ovade Community at Ovie Road Ogharafe on on August 8,by some suspected cultists, Commissioner of Police CP Wale Abass, directed the recently deployed DPO Oghara,CSP Olasunkanmi Musiliu, to unravel what led to the death of the young man and arrest the perpetrators.

 The DPO led policemen attached the Division’s surveillance Anti-crime patrol team and embarked on a discreet investigation. 

He trailed the mastermind of the act, and at about 3.35, on the same day, while acting on a witness account of the murder of the victim, the team stormed one hotel in Oghara(name withheld) and arrested Charles Debi-Abate,39, a member Aro Bagger confraternity and a native of Oghara, but resident in mosagar over his involvement in the murder.“

Preliminary investigation revealed that the said suspect was part of the syndicate that murdered one Onyekachi Chibuzor( a.k.a Odogwu,42, on July 27, and also stated that he has been involved in numerous cult-related attacks on perceived opponents in Oghara.

“The suspects, though denied being part of the gang that murdered the said Solomon Idi, mentioned the duo of Onyeka and Paul (both surnames unknown) as those responsible for the murder. 

On August, 9,at about 11:30 am , the suspect led the operatives to the premises of the said Onyeka and Paul, but the team did not meet them at home.

 On a thorough search of their premises, two English pump action guns, 20 live cartridges, and one GLK Benz( SUV )with registration no. RBC-995-DG were recovered. 

The suspects and exhibits are in our custody, while manhunt for the fleeing suspects is ongoing”.
