Reactions have continued to trail the viral report credited to an Online News papers, over alleged Preference of Ordinary Chiefs Titles to Ezeship thrones by some Eze’s in South West. 

This is coming on the heels of the shenanigans and criticisms surrounding the alleged  denouncement of their Titles and Thrones by 30 Eze Ndigbo , over a purported 2025 letter sent to  South East Council Of Traditional Rulers,  written by the  leader of  South West , South South Traditional Rulers  Association in Diaspora .

Speaking today from his Palace in  Lagos State  , the  Front line Igbo Leader and Onyendu Ndigbo In Amuwo Odofin , Eze Ojukwu , confirmed that  there is no vacant throne in Amuwo Odofin , adding that he remain the sole and only authentic Igbo leader within his jurisdiction.

While clarifying that the new name ,”Onyendu Ndigbo” , is merely a change in Nomenclature from the old  Eze Ndigbo Nomenclature, which does not affect his office, throne and status , he noted that he is still in charge.

Explaining that the hall mark of being a good leader and  Statesman, is obeying the law, as well as taking directives from political and Cultural leaders of the country , Eze Ojukwu noted that the new name” Onyendu Ndigbo”, was in compliance with the directives from the Royal Fathers in the South East as well as recent banning of the Eze Ndigbo name by the Lagos State government.

He therefore denied and stated that he has never denounced his Throne in Amuwo Odofin.

Eze Ojukwu ,who is also the “Otun Boba Selu of Ado Kingdom” ,  further dismissed the claims that he is no longer the  traditional leader of Ndigbo in Amuwo Odofin.

News Planet International reports that Eze Ojukwu , made the clarification on the heels of rumours on the social media that he was among those who have resorted to chief titles.

Eze Augustine Sunday Ojukwu ,is  duly recognized by his town as Ezeugo Na Alor, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Recall that  Eze Augustine Sunday Ojukwu ,made the clarification following the purported list of Ndieze who denounced their Ezeship and reversed to chief titles.
