Igbo residents in Lagos State and beyond , last Saturday , October 25, 2025,

Welcomed the physical birth of Umuigboekunie Cultural Association, with a rapturous applause.

News Planet International reports that what is thrilling many Igbos world Wide, is the vision and mission behind the formation of ” Umuigboekunie Cultural Association”, which they whole heartedly  acknowledged , have rekindle and reincarnated the “Old Igbo Union” spirit ,where unity,brotherhood, Togetherness and love held sway.

 Therefore ,Igbos home and in Diaspora, have commended the Birth of “Igbo Ekunie Cultural Association”, praying that its success story will wipe away the hitherto ethnic shame, especially as many other Igbo Organizations have either failed, been factionalized or even have Litigations in Courts.

Indeed, last Saturday, at the newly built Abagana  Hall,off Ago Palace Way, Okota, Lagos State,the group which has been gathering online , had their Inaugural Physical meeting ,where they brain stormed on how to change the narrative as regards empowerment and fast tracking of South East region’s development.

The event started in earnest with prayers, introduction of members ,  breaking of traditional Igbo Kola Nuts and felicitations, which was anchored by the Association’s Founder, Prince Andy Moore Ezejioha, popularly known as “Onowu; Obuteife; Apiti”.

It was followed by the Group’s mission exposition , which was illustrated by the First President – General of the Association , Lady Maryanne Amaogechukwu Okonkwor, who is reputed to be the first ever Female President General of any Igbo Organization.

In her oratory speech, Lady Okonkwo, highlighted on the need to build trust, explore local and international opportunities and setting cum creating self employment goals towards the development of South East.

Besides felicitations, words of encouragement , Advice , good wishes poured like torrents, even from some respectable, highly placed Igbo  Leaders, such as Eze Ndigbo of Onigbogbo , Eze Tony Anosike , who is one of the Founding Patrons and Trustee  Chief Raph Eze Okoli, Ide – Anambra.

Both Leaders, in unison, proffered their wise counsels , while at the same time pledged to work with “Igbo Ekunie ”.

 Earlier in the meeting , Some of the entrepreneurs and Members , such as the CEO, DV Procurement and Logistics Ltd, Mr. David Aduaka; Mrs. Chinyere Vivian  Aduaka; Chief Dennis Osadebe of Dev Science Discovery World/ Oma Organic Farms/ Garden; Mr. Eugene Ihezuonu of ICT Multi Investment Farms; L.O.C Chairman, His Excellency ,Mr. Benjamin Obidozie Aduaka; Chief Akaoma and Mrs. Juliet of Pine leaf Estate, Aba, Abia State ; Market Leader, Chief C.F.C Obi; Apostle Umeora Emmanuel Obioma ; Ndi Anioma Group, amongst others, who after showering Encomium on the man they described as their visionary Founder , Prince Anymore Ezejioha, and their resilient, kind, intelligent, adorable and hard working Female President – General, Lady  Maryanne Amogechukwu Okonkwo, introduced their empowerment initiatives.

 While Cutting the Celebration cake with the PG ,along side the Igbo Leaders, the Founder emphasized that the choice of a female President General, was Divine and God motivated, as Lady Maryanne , according to him, “has received global approval and acceptance since she came to office, adding that many educated, well placed and wealthy dignitaries from Igbo extraction, acknowledged the need to allow women chance in Organizational leadership”.

Lady Okonkwo in response, expressed her desire to serve the Igbo Nation and change the narrative,insisting that

 “Igbo Ekunie Association”, was a product of grace.

She stated thus , “we pledge to render service through humanity and ensure that our principles will revolve on the ideals of One united People, one voice, one people, without attachment to state of origin.Let us adopt it as Igbo vision laced with one love and togetherness, which will usher in accelerated development”.

Lady Okonkwo,who believes in youths empowerment and Business Aide through empowerment, pledged that the new Association would establish Trust Funds, such as Education Trust Fund and Investments Trust Fund, as well as build Cottage industries in the villages, towns and rural communities in the heart of Igbo land.

Further commending the Founder for necessary and needed expositions that is imparting on her new office, the PG , enjoined Igbos to engage in Information Sharing and scholarship, noting that such attitudes would engender unity and progress for the Igbo race.

All stakeholders who spoke, also resolved to join forces with the PG and the Founder and vowed to work towards achieving the goals and aspirations of Igbo Ekunie Association.

 Igbo Ekunie Cultural Association , is presently operating and administered under the leadership of :Founder:  Onowu Anymore Ezejioha; President – General: Lady Maryanne Amogechukwu Okonkwo; International Coordinator: Lady Angel Ifeoma Raven: Assistant International Coordinator: Reverend Ifeanyi Obiechefu: Secretary General: Pastor Ifeanyi Nwefuru and Women Leader: Chief ( Mrs) Chinwe Nwune.

Before the Closing Prayers, food and drinks were properly served to the satisfaction of members and guests.
