Son of SGF Akume Weds in Benue

Samuel Aondoakura Akume, son of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, on Saturday married Deborah Ershima, daughter of Engineer Msula Atoga, in a modest ceremony held in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

Vice President Kashim Shettima was present at the wedding reception, representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He was received by the SGF and the Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, alongside a small gathering of family members and public officials.

Despite the private tone of the ceremony, the event was attended by select dignitaries. Among them was the groom’s mother, Chief Mrs. Hanmo, a former wife of Senator Akume.

The wedding comes shortly after the SGF’s recent marriage to Queen Zaynab Otiti Obanor (Ngohemba) and the cultural activities that marked her homecoming to Gboko, reflecting a period of significant personal milestones within the Akume family.
