Popular Frontline Entrepreneur and Hospitality Industry Investor, Eze Alex Sunday Nwoye, has totally  distanced himself from an online Newspaper Speculation connecting him with quest and succession ambition to the vacant throne of Eze Ndigbo of Lagos State.

Protesting the unauthorized association of his name to the purported jostling for late Eze Hyacinth Nwabueze Ohazulike’s vacant throne, Eze Nwoye, who is the Chairman of Aceland Royal Gardens hotel ; Mecvilla Executive  Gardens hotel ; Eze Ndigbo in Ejigbo LCDA and ” Duru  Ochiriozuo Na Uga”, Anambra State , denies ever nursing a secret or open ambition of becoming the next Eze Ndigbo of Lagos state.

Declining the unsolicited nomination by the Online Newspaper, Eze Nwoye, also known as Bobaselu of Ejigbo Land , noted that besides not having interest in Succeeding Eze Ohazulike, he lacks the luxury of time to oversee the affairs of the entire Ndigbo and Ndiezes in Lagos State, due to the tight schedules of his hospitality business.

According to him, the exalted throne of Eze Ndigbo of Lagos State , demands time and requires a credible , respected person ,who has appreciable connections in and outside the corridors of political powers.

Duru Ochiriozuo , in an interview with News Planet International, thanked those who purportedly nominated his name for the Title, after considering  him as worthy , capable and qualified candidate for the throne .

However , he vehemently disassociated himself from the newspaper  publication linking his name with such ambition of jostling to replace the late  Patriarch , Eze Hyacinth Nwabueze Ohazulike , even as he denied ever granting such interview or discussion with the Online Newspaper ( Names Withheld ).

According to Eze Nwoye , who his friends and Associates always attest  to his quiet and easy going life style , ” I did not initiate such discussion and did not  grant any such interview to any Newspaper ” .

Further distancing himself from the said throne succession ambition, Bobaselu of Ejigbo land, therefore  pledged to work with whosoever will be peacefully chosen to replace Eze Ohazulike , but reiterated  that ,”he has no quest and is not jostling for the vacant Eze Ndigbo of Lagos state office”.

It would be recalled that the said Online Newspaper publication had last Monday, October 13,2025,in its report ,listed five  candidates it said are jostling for the said throne, as :Eze Christian Uchechukwu Nwachukwu, Eze Lawrence Nnamdi Eze, Eze Uche Dimgba, Eze  Frederick Nwajagu and Eze Chris Offia.
