Igbo Leader in Oto Awori LCDA, now known as ” Onyeisi Ndigbo”, has commended the fatherly guidance of all the Obas in the old Ojo local government Area,towards maintaining harmonious cohabitation between the host Community and  Igbo residents.

News Planet International reports that there was a crucial meeting between the Igbo Leaders of old Ojo area and  the Obas in Council yesterday, November 26, 2025 , at Iba Local Government Area headquarters , where vital decisions were taken.

Speaking shortly after the meeting, Onyeisi Ndigbo Peter Olikenyi , thanked the Chairman of Oba in council, Ojo LGA,HRM Oba. Alhaji. Dr. Sulaimon Adeshina  Raji Okikiola  Asade 1, Oniba  Ekun Of Iba Kingdom; HRM Alateoluwa Oba (Elder) J. O. I. AINA (Kuyamiku 1) , Oloto of Oto – Awori Kingdom and HRM Oba Momodu Afolabi Asafa (J.P) MFR, FNMC. (THE ALADI) Onijanikin Of Ijanikin Land, for their fatherly love and statesmanship.

Other dignitaries at the meeting were Onyeisi Ndi Igbo in IBA,Chief John Greg  Ezebuadi; Ajitana Aje of Oto Awori Kingdom and Atoyeje of Ijanikin Kindom.

Onyeisi Ndigbo therefore enjoined all Igbo Community residents in Oto Awori LCDA, to ensure peaceful co- existence with their neighbors and to adhere to rules and regulations of the host Community.

Chief Omenife Olikenyi, who is the traditional holder of Ide title, used the opportunity to assure the South East Council of Traditional  Rulers , that he and his colleagues have complied with their Change of name directives.

It would be recalled that the title Onyeisi Ndigbo, was hitherto known as Eze Udo, Eze Ndigbo in Oto Awori, in old Ojo LGA, before the recent directives by the South East Council of Traditional Rulers, who suspended and abolished the Eze Ndigbo Title for Igbo leaders in Diaspora.
