The President – General of “Igbodum Multicultural Association World Wide”, Prince Dr. Celestine Chuks Emechebe, has enjoined Igbos to pursue justice, equity and Fair play in Nigeria,even as they foster unity amongst themselves .
Prince Emechebe, who was speaking to Journalists on the sideline , at the just concluded Igbo Cultural New Yam Festival, organized by Eze Augustine Sunday Ojukwu and his Eze Ndigbo Na Amuwo Odofin Foundation, held last Friday, October 24, 2025, explained that the birth of Igbodum, as an organization, was to reshape public opinion and change the narrative over what he termed over bloated disunity amongst Ndigbo .
Emechebe, who was the former Chief Security Officer at the Balogun Business Association , BBA section, Trade Fair Complex, an entrepreneur and player in the real estate sector, vowed that his group mission is to achieve a positive transformation and correct the negative notion of disunity amongst the Igbos .
According to him, ” There is no tribe or ethnic Nationalities without an issue , challenges and identity problems, hence Igbodum Multicultural Association World Wide,was born to stand for all positive Igbo Course, as well as representing Justice, Equity and Righteousness, with the aims of correcting every abnormalities” .
Further Calling for a United Igbo one Common front, Prince Emechebe appreciated the Yorubas for being accommodating and enjoined Ndigbo residents in foreign lands, to avoid use of foul languages against the host Community.
In line with his Association’s core value, Prince Emechebe , reiterated his Group’s earlier Plea to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu , to grant Mazi Nnamdi Kanu an unconditional pardoned and free him from detention .
He pleaded with President Tinubu , to disregard the ongoing campaign of calumny by some insignificant number of Igbo sycophants , who he noted do not subscribe to Kanu’s freedom for selfish reasons , noting that every tribes has such sycophantic elements .
The Group’s President ,noted that the continued detention of Mazi Kanu at the facility of the Secret Police, otherwise known as the Department of State Services(DSS), is instrumental to the heightened insecurity and grave economic woes in the South East.
He further demanded for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of IPOB, who he said has been incarcerated for over 5 years, insisting that granting freedom to Kanu ,will be a ticket to justice , progress ,National healing and Unity.
It would be recalled that Mazi Kanu ,has been held by the Department of State Services (DSS) since his re-arrest in Kenya in 2021. His prolonged detention has sparked widespread protests and calls for his release, with many citing concerns over his deteriorating health.
