According to the director of the movie,he says “The Black Book is a story about a father who is seeking justice when his only son is killed by people”.
He also said,“Nigeria has a history of drug trafficking, and The Black Book explores that from the 80s and how those events in the 80s affect what we have today.
It also pays a lot of homage to young people who have borne the consequences of that violence.”
Richard Mofe-Damijo who played the role of Paul Edima,the lead with military background, a role which required a lot of physical training, was placed on a strict diet and gym commitment.
