In a groundbreaking move aimed at revolutionizing the banking industry, First Bank of Nigeria Limited, the country’s premier financial institution, has unveiled the first-ever Humanoid Robot in the Nigerian financial services space.
The robot, equipped with Video Banking and Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities, will serve as a friendly branch staff member at the bank’s Adetokunbo Ademola VI, Lagos Digital Experience Centre (DXC) Branch.
The Humanoid Robot is part of the bank’s digitally led self-service branch, which features cutting-edge technology. With its advanced capabilities, the robot can engage customers in conversations using a touch screen attached to its chest.
Customers can interact with the robot to make cash deposits and withdrawals, inquire about ATM cards, and even log complaints through a QR code, with feedback provided within the specified timeframe.
Additionally, the Humanoid Robot will keep customers updated on the bank’s latest products, services, and enhancements aimed at improving the overall customer experience and satisfaction.
It serves as a one-stop point of information for customers and efficiently manages their accounts.

”The introduction of the Humanoid Robot is part of the phased configuration of First Bank’s Digital Experience Centre, a state-of-the-art digitally led self-service branch that was launched in December 2021.
The bank plans to deploy another Humanoid Robot in its upcoming second Digital Experience Centre, which will be announced in the coming months.
