Mixed feelings in the sense of their sadness for the lost and happy because their beloved Reuben ,lived a fulfilled life in the Lord.

There is always a time in the affairs of men and that time has come for the man of integrity, Mr. Reuben Onyebuchi Maduako , popularly known as”Mr. Reuben “& “Ruu-Ruu”, who Transited to glory on Sunday , April 27th,2025. Indeed, death is said to be a necessary end, that must come when it will come, but for the immediate late Reuben Onyebuchi Maduako’s family, it was with mixed feelings that they announced the death of their beloved father, husband and In-law.

Indeed, it was a vindication of a well spent life on earth during his Christian wake keep in Lagos State, as the crowd of Christians and Non- Christians, presence of numerous Pastors , like Pastor Dr.Mrs. Gift Alebe of Havilah Christian Church , Afro Media, Lagos ; General Overseer, Hosanna Ministry International Church , World Wide , Bishop Ben Smart, Also known As ” Talk-na-do” ; Pastor Benjamin Ikeata, to mention just a few .

There were many other Ministers of God, Young Men and Women, Old persons were not left out, even as the heart warming testimonies from former Colleagues , Neighbors , friends , Christian brethren rent the air.

Many could not hold their tears as heart touching tributes , encomiums, flowed like torrents .

The officiating Ministers , including the General Overseer of Havilah Christian Church Lagos, Reverend Dr. Good Luck Alebe, Urged those present , to cash on the positive impact Reuben Onyebuchi Maduako had on people while alife and reflect on their own life .

Reverend Alebe, noted that life is like a market place where people buy the goods that they desire . He enjoined Christians to live life styles that would guarantee them enternity in Heaven .

Fondly called ‘Ruu-Ruu ‘, the Gentleman , was born to late Evangelist Onyekwere Maduako and Madam Olejurulo of Amagidi kindred, Umuasua village, Isikwuato , Abia State.

Announcing the glorious home call and demise of their father,husband, and Inlaw, Mr. Reuben Onyebuchi Maduako , his Family in a statement which was Signed on behalf of the family by Precious and made available to Journalists , said that Mr. Reuben ,a devout Christian , will be buried on Saturday, June 7th, 2025 , after lying in state and burial service at his village compound in Amagidi kindred , while on Sunday, June 8th,2022.there would be a service of songs and Outgoing/ Thanksgiving Service at Abosso Apostolic Faith Church Of Jesus Christ, Isikwuato.
According to the funeral arrangements, on Saturday,May 24th , 2025, 1pm,there was a service of songs and Christian wake keep by his Church,Havilah Christian Church, Lagos, at his Lagos State Residence, No. 15 Ofoegbu Street,Close To 1st Kpako, Cele Nica. On Friday ,June 6th , 2025, there will be service of songs and Christian wake keep at his home town, Amagidi, Umuasua, Isikwuato Local Government Area,Abia State . However, June 7th , 2025, by 8:30 am, Body Leaves Isikwuato General Hospital.

By 10 am,the Body will be lying in state at his village Compound, Amagidi Umuasua, Isikwuato Abia state,while burial service will immediately commence, after which internment follows. The family expects that condolence visits will commence at 1pm on Saturday, June 7th,at his residence, until Sunday,June 8th, 2025 .

Speaking concerning his father’s death, his Son, Mr. Destiny Rapuruchukwu Reuben Maduako , a student of Abia State University , said thus ,” Our father will be greatly missed .A virtuous , talented and God fearing man ,whose good character was greatly appreciated and attracted people”.

                                                                      In the Obituary of their late father, the family stated " In total submission to the will of the Almighty God, we regret to announce the death of Our Beloved Father , Reuben Onyebuchi Maduako, who transitioned to Glory on  Sunday , 27th of April, 2025.

BIOGRAPHY OF LATE MR. REUBEN ONYEBUCHI MADUAKO

REUBEN ONYEBUCHI MADUAKO was born to the family of Late Evangelist Onyekwere Maduako and Mrs . Olejurulo Maduako

Circumstances of life led to the early relocation of his parents to their mother’s village in Amagidi Umuasua, Isikwuato Abia state, were they were warmly accorded permanent residence.

He was the First Son in a family of four Surviving Children, made up of two male and two female Children .

According to the account narrated by Late Reuben Maduako himself, his early upbringing under the tutelage of his late Religious grand mother, late Madam Abigail Maduako,who was then an Abosso Apostolic Faith Of Jesus Christ Church Prophetess ,was built on Apostolic principles, but nevertheless froth with difficulties, hardships and penury.

It is imperative to know that Reuben Onyebuchi Maduako’s love for God and Divine Callings started manifesting very early in his life while staying with his grandma, late Prophetess Abigail, as well as all through the phases of his life, until he officially became an Elder in Havilah Christian Church Lagos.

For instance, he had earlier in his life in Amagidi village, due to hardship, abandoned his parents and sojourn to an unknown village in Isikwuato, where he engaged himself doing manual labor, like digging house foundations, while residing with an earlier unknown old woman, who adopted him like a son.

It was from the proceeds of his manual labor that he was able to enroll himself into Isikwuato High School, where he was the Deputy Senior Perfect, before his later departure to Aba, Abia state, with his late Uncle Osondu, for his GCE.

Like the proverbial water leaf that generated water to cook itself, Reuben Onyebuchi Maduako, through the dint of hard manual jobs and God’s protection, had struggled all through his early life to enroll into Amaba Primary School Isikwuato, Abia state and from 1976 to 1981, he also attended Comprehensive High School Ogbo Hill, Aba , Abia State , for his Secondary Education.

After he sojourn with his late Uncle Osondu to Aba, his endurance and determination to succeed and become relevant in Life,pushed him up to Secondary school, where he took the General Certificate In Education Examination, GCE.

By dint of luck, he came to lagos State through an Uncle , Late Ukaegbu, who was based in the United States of America ,USA.

As at that time, Reuben Onyebuchi Maduako, was residing at Oremeji Street, Lagos State,from where he was assisted into a petty clothes trading business by his late Uncle Ukaegbu.

He later started hustling at NNPC depot, Ejigbo ,canvassing for potential clients for Oil companies.

It was in the course of his hustle at NNPC depot Ejigbo Lagos, that he secured an appointment with Sahara Energy as Petrol Station Attendant in Badagry.

Though he was on a very low salary cadre in his office in Sahara Energy,because of his low academic qualification, Nevertheless,Reuben Onyebuchi Maduako, was undeterred, as he was able to marry his wife, Mrs. Miriam Reuben Onyebuchi Maduako, Nee’ Edom , who he met at the NNPC depot Ejigbo, Lagos State.

It is instructive to know that Reuben Onyebuchi Maduako single handedly brought his Younger brother, Sunday Maduako and his immediate younger sister, Mrs. Joanna Ewerem, Nee’ Maduako to lagos State and trained Joanna in school.

Besides all these family responsibilities, Reuben Onyebuchi Maduako ,before his death,contributed immensely to the welfare of his Old mother Mrs. Olejurulo Maduako, Sister Joanna and younger brother, Sunday Maduako .

It would be noted that Reuben’s late fathers health challenges for over 20 years, was instrumental to his late marriage, as the entire responsibility of treatment,fell on his Shoulder as the first Son.

However, after marriage to his lovely and hard working wife from Umuokpara Abba, Nwangele local Government Area of Imo State,Mrs. Miriam Chinenyenwa Reuben Maduako, Nee Paul Edom, Popularly known as “First Lady Boutique”, he received more inspiration and with Combined efforts with his wife, Miriam Chinenyenwa, they were able to erect a small apartment in the village and renovated their dilapidated small family house in Umuasua Isikwuato Abia state, with earlier assistance from his Elder Sister , Elizabeth Okezie.

While alife, Reuben Onyebuchi Maduako, made frantic efforts to reconnect with his Father’s family root in Amaiyi – Obinaohia in Isikwuato, Abia State, before his demise.

Reuben Onyebuchi Maduako will be remembered by many honest family members, colleagues, friends and well wishers, for his deep love for God, Godly cum Religious activities in all the Churches he attended, especially, Havila Christian Church Of God, Adaloko, Afro- Media, Lagos State

Indeed, his genuine humility, love, frank discussions, Giving spirit, Golden heart, Peaceful Nature and gentlemanliness to all, especially his biological family,was second to none and will forever be remembered.
